Ensure that the cable from the wall to the receiver is snug at its connective ports. Now check to see that the TV is one the right input source e.g. component 1, AV 1, hdmi , etc. If you are connected using coax make sure you are on CH 3. If the receiver connects to another component such as a dvd eliminate that device and connect the receiver directly to the TV. If you are unable to make a picture still shoot me another message and telll me the specifics of your setup such as if the issue is with a Duo or Solo receiver, at what location it is if it is a duo receiver, and the way and means by which it connects to the TV. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
Hello, this is Matthew Gonzales with DISH Network customer service. If you are not getting satellite signal, the problem can several different things, but here are a few things you can try. First, try a hard reset. To do a hard reset, you unplug the receiver from its power outlet, wait 15 seconds then plug it back in. The next step would be double checking you satellite cable. On the back of the receiver there should be a cable connected where it says "Satellite in", make sure this cable is secured from the receiver to the wall. After you do these steps, try running a check switch test (menu-6-1-1-check switch-test). If you are still not receiving satellite signal, a technician will be needed at the home to fix the issue. If this has not been resolved, please feel free to email me at [email protected].
