If you have an SD card inserted and formatted in the camera and you have an SD card reader/writer on your computer, then you you really don't need a cord.

You can order the cable from
http://www.bestlaptopbattery.com/b.cfm/Digital-Camera/VIVITAR/ViviCam-3815/Digital-Camera-Data-Transfer-Cable-.htm

But, I looked at the cable and Target sells universal camera cables and you probably will be able to get one there. Look at the picture below this is the cable you need.

What if I don't have the USB cord for the camera??

If the cord fits, use it.
You didn't specify the make and model of your camera, but if it uses a memory card of some type you don't need a USB cord to transfer your pictures.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

No cord c183

You don't need one. The camera uses AA batteries but doesn't charge them through the USB connection. The only use for the cord is the slow, hard way to download pictures from the camera to the computer.

Can't down load pic to computer it says camera not connected.

Might be a problem with your cord...or maybe you are using the wrong cord to download. Make sure you have the cord you received with the camera. Plug in the cord to the computer. Restart your computer. Then (with your camera turned off) plug in the cord to the camera. Start the camera and see if it connects.

Can i use a usb connection to transfer video from my gs-250 to a pc?

Yes, your camera should have come with a cord. If not, another device, like your cellphone might have the same cord to use. You can also check Radioshack to see what cord they recommend.

Won't connect

Your camera might not be set to the right setting. Also, plug the cord into the computer and camera before turning the camera on. If you have the driver disc, use it, otherwise go to driverguide.com and search for your respectable drivcer for xp. Also, the connector cord or port on the camera may have gone bad. Do the USB ports on the computer work with other items? Try a different usb cord. Also make sure the batteries are full.

Hope this helps.

Remeber warranty helps.
