Question about Car Audio & Video
It could be going into protection mode. Try turning your gain on your amplifier down and then try going past 30 and see what it does. Or you have too small of speaker wires or remote ect or what not, and you might need to get a bigger gauge wiring kit.

Your fuses are most likely out. The thing is, is that if any of those wires touch you can blow out some fuses, that may mess with the odometer, gas, oil and temp readings. More than likely your fuses have busted when you were changing out or even when you ran that wire directly from the battery.
Hope that i could help you out. If worst came to worst, you would probably just need a continuity tester to see what wires were giving power, after you changed those blown out fuses.

If you disconnect the bose radio, it loses it's programing.. Needs to be taken to a GM dealer and vin coded. as for the volume knob, it's digital.. if it's not working it wont be a connection issue, it's likely a flaw on the board. The best place to get that fixed is United radio in NY. 1-800-448-0944

you would need the code from the dealership that is usually in your owner manual for the the car. If not you would need the radio removed and get the serial# of the radio and provide the dealership with this number and they should be able to provide a code.
