My whatsapp is showing "error starting whatsapp" blackberry 9360

Your blackberry model is a BBOS Legacy Devices and Apps such as WhatsApp which use up a lot of memory can create problems.

If you have BlackBerry OS 7.1 or older Devices, then clear the Cache in the Browser and in any other App (like the event Log), then
go into Setup, select Languages and Remove/Delete all other languages except the one you're using (i.e. English) and finally Re-Boot to get around 40/%0+MB of free Application Memory back. Now whatsapp should work. For more advices on using whatsapp on blackberry see this page or visit the official official whatsApp.com website.

Go to the WhatsApp site & check the compatibility with your Blackberry Model & OS etc.
Minimum Requirements

  • BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) or BlackBerry
HERE: http://www.whatsapp.com/ota/

WhatsApp for BLACKBERRY is available for DOWNLOAD from this location. However, no valid BlackBerry browser has been detected. Please use your BlackBerry Browser when visiting this website.
Set your "Browser IDENTIFICATION" to "BlackBerry" under Browser > Options > Browser Configuration > Browser: Internet Browser, save the settings and "Refresh" this page.
NOTE: you can also download WhatsApp Messenger from BlackBerry WorldFor the record, we detected your browser as: MOZILLA/5.0 (Macintosh; INTEL Mac OS X 10_9_4) AppleWebKit/537.77.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/7.0 Safari/537.71
If all else fails, then ask Blackberry for help.

I can't download whats app:( i tray but i can't

Hi there.

There are 2 places that you can get whatsapp from on the blackberries. Either you search for it in the App world and download it from there. Or you can go to www.whatsapp.com/ota on your phone to get it. If it doesn't work from either method, post a comment with details as to why it will not load (if there are any error messages, or what it is doing when it stops downloading) and I will get back to you with an answer. Good luck!

Hi have download whats app on my blackberry so you can send free pictures, text and videos but vodafone are charging me and they have never heard of whats app. can anybody help

You can only use Whatsapp to send free messages to other Whatsapp users. After logging into Whatsapp, you'll have a list of other Whatsapp users (from your contacts) in "Favs". From here, you can send free messages, pictures, videos, voice notes, etc to them. If you send messages from outside this application, your network provider might charge you for it. Do remember, you'll need a data account (or wireless network) to use Whatsapp.
