Sony cd driver

I have a sony cd driver. model #crx217e-ds. I got it from my sister, I have no software. I have been looking on the sony web site for a download. I cant find it. Is there a way to get the software or is the cd driver history.

WizHi, the CD doesn't actually require a "Specific Driver" in fact Windows has a "Built in Driver" that would work O.O.B. (Out Of the Box)
If there is a specific driver then of course one would use that. However I think you will find that this is just an ordinary IDE CD.
Simply connect it up and if it works it will "Show Up" in "My Computer" and be ready to use.
If it doesn't work, then generally it is kaput.. and no amount of software shuffling will make and difference.
