warm soapy water, you can put some soapy water in the grinder, shaker and shake it vigorously to remove any pepper or salt that is stubborn, but hot water will dissolve the salt and loosen the pepper.

Stupid question but how do you refill the pepper grinder of the Octo Combo? I don't consider this an appliance since it doesn't use electricity or batteries but couldn't figure out another category for...


Hi, from the photos I see on the web, it looks like you hold the salt chamber and then unscrew the nut on the top of the unit. I would say that you need to then pour out the salt into a small container, and then grasp the bottom (pepper chamber) and pull up on the salt chamber to separate it from the bottom chamber. Fill the pepper chamber and then replace the salt chamber and fill with salt, replace salt cover and then replace nut. I hope this helps.

just the angle of the hit, not the weight of the item, granted a very light wieght item is less likely to cause damage but a large spoon hitting at the proper angle can cause this i know i was the one that did it
