I have had some problems with some windows updates and the sound going out, I just reverted back to the original driver ac-97 drivers and blocked that update as to not download it again.
You can go to the intel site and try and find the right driver if you can't contact Intel and they will help you out.

Intel has several variations on their chip sets. Look at the chips on the board and download individually the network and sound drivers. Probably Realtek audio and Intel Gigabit. Once online, run windows update and then let Windows match the drivers for the rest.
