My telkom landline wireless phone .. suddenly can not make a call .. what can be wrong and how do I fix it ?

There are several possible reasons why your Telkom landline wireless phone is not making calls. Some possible causes include:
  • The phone's batteries may be low or dead, so the phone is not able to power on.
  • The phone may be out of range of the base station or the base station may be turned off or unplugged.
  • The phone may be malfunctioning and in need of repair or replacement.
To troubleshoot and fix the problem, you can try the following:
  • Replace the batteries in the phone to ensure that it has enough power to turn on and make calls.
  • Make sure the phone is within range of the base station and that the base station is turned on and properly plugged in.
  • Check to see if there is a dial tone when you pick up the phone, if not, the issue may be with the line or the provider's network.

The red light on my alarm system where it says 24 hours is continually illuminated. I have tried to press the reset button and nothing happens. I am unable to alarm my property. I do not have any code...

call the 2 phone numbers on the front. white sticker Eagle Security, you may have to pay a service call or a new keypad. if you are paying more that $15.00 per month, look at buying simplisafe. It is what I have in my home, no problems. It also uses a cell phone inside base station to call out, not phone lines.

I have a new weathr station and can not get the outside temp. to display what can I do?

I assume it is a wireless station. If so, there is a procedure to go through to get the temperature sender and the base station to sync up and work. You need to check your owners manual to get the exact procedure for your unit. On my station, I have to remove the battery from the base station, let it power up and within 5 minutes, install the battery in the remote station(s) (temperature, rain gauge, wind gauge, etc.). Also, you must keep the remote station within a certain range for the base to get a good signal. Probably 25 feet, but the owners manual will have the right number. Also, use new batteries.

If your network is being created by an Apple AirPort base station, use AirPort Utility to put the base station into "manual setup" mode, then pull down the "Base Station" menu and select "Equivalent Network Password". Try the value shown there.

WLAN orange light blinking

Wi-Fi base station: Understanding and resolving a blinking amber status light Your Wi-Fi base station status light blinks amber.
Here are some of the more common reasons that the status light may blink amber:
  • The Wi-Fi base station has not yet been configured because it is new.
  • The Wi-Fi base station has been reset.
  • A new firmware update is available for the Wi-Fi base station.
  • No IP address is available for the Wi-Fi base station.
  • A Wi-Fi base station in Extended Mode is out-of-network Wi-Fi range of a primary Wi-Fi base station.
  • The WAN Ethernet cable is unplugged from the Wi-Fi base station.
  • The Wi-Fi base station lacks a path to the Internet (or local router).
  • Internet access may be temporarily unavailable from your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
  • Your AirPort Time Capsule has detected that the internal hard drive has reported a SMART error, and is failing (This requires firmware 7.5.2, and AirPort Utility 5.5.2).
A persistent, blinking, amber status light indicates that your Wi-Fi base station may require your attention.
How to resolve a blinking amber status light alert
Launch AirPort Utility to determine why your Wi-Fi base station status light is blinking amber.
Apple recommends that you use AirPort Utility 5.5.2 for Mac, AirPort Utility 5.5.2 for Windows, or a newer version of AirPort Utility if one is available.
  1. AirPort Utility 5.2 or later opens automatically if your Wi-Fi base station requires your attention. You may also choose to launch AirPort Utility at any time.
Do not use any version of AirPort Utility earlier than 5.0.
In Mac OS X, AirPort Utility is located in the Applications > Utilities folder.
In Microsoft Windows, AirPort Utility can be located by clicking Start > All Programs > AirPort.
Note: You may also locate and download the latest Wi-Fi base station firmware and software by clicking here.
  2. In the AirPort Utility window, locate your Wi-Fi base station and double-click on it to open the Summary window. Note: If you have more than one Wi-Fi base station, double-click on the icon for the Wi-Fi base station that has the amber circle next to it.
  3. When the Summary window appears, double-click the amber circle to the right of Wi-Fi base station Status to open the Status window.
  4. The Status window lists any conditions that require your attention. Respond to each item until there are no more items listed.
    Important
: You must reset the Wi-Fi base station using the reset switch to re-enable checking for the conditions you ignored.

  5. Eliminating the blinking, amber status light may require making changes to a specific setting, or putting a checkmark in the "Ignore" checkbox beside any option you don't wish to change. A checkmark simply tells the AirPort that you are aware of the issue and you have chosen to ignore it. For example, you may wish to leave your AirPort open without a password so that anyone can join your wireless network.
  6. Click Update to apply your changes (the Wi-Fi base station will restart).
  7. After the Wi-Fi base station has restarted, the status light should be green and not blinking. If the status light stays amber in color and blinks after the Wi-Fi base station restarts, you may repeat the steps above.

The ADSL Wireless Base Station also operates as a wireless access
point, allowing wireless computers to communicate with each other. To
configure this function, you need to enable the wireless function, define
the radio channel, the domain identifier, and the security options.
Check Enable and click "SAVE SETTINGS".
You must specify a common radio channel and SSID (Service Set ID) to
be used by the ADSL Wireless Base Station and all of its wireless clients.
Make sure you configure all of its clients to the same values.
Access Control allows users to define the outgoing traffic permitted or
not-permitted through the WAN interface. The default is to permit all
outgoing traffic.
If the signal strength of a single wireless base station is not sufficient due
to a large coverage area or attenuation due to walls, with WDS the
range of a wireless base station can be extended.
All base stations in a Wireless Distribution System must be configured
with the same radio channel, and encryption type (WEP/WPA) if that is
used.

Apple® - AirPort Express Wireless-N Base Station

No. The airport express just has a shorter range. You can use both a regular base and express to extend the range further. Also, the express can be used at your home stereo. You can play your Itunes library directly to your stereo with an adapter to the express. Anyway, the express is just a less powerful wireless, with some special features. We print through it and use it exclusively. May add base station later. Good luck.

How to extend the range of my MN-700 Base Station

Hi Entry Level Extenders (or by their real technological name Repeaters) are chipset dependent and therefore guaranteed to work with Hardware of the same Brand. You can try to build your Own Extender. Buy two Access Points (AP) one of them has to be able to be configured as Client. Configure the client AP to communicate to the MN-700 and then plug the second AP to it and configure it as a regular AP. Put the concoction in the middle of the way between the MN-700 and the destination computer. Doing such an arrangement might cost a little more, and be a little bulky. On the other hand it would not cut the bandwidth into Half as Repeaters do. Otherwise may be this can Help.
