If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LED flashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faulty inverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow my instructions to identify the fault and possible fix :-

SOURCE: Suddenly my Toshiba Satellite A205 laptop died. No power.

First, check your power supply (the adapter). Is it putting out the required voltage to charge the battery?
If not, then you might have a dead battery and no way to charge it.
If the power supply is working and when you turn on the computer you get no lights, then you're probably looking at a new motherboard.
If you get startup lights and hear the fan, then it's getting power and you might have a video problem. But it sounds like, from what you wrote, there is no activity at all when you try to start it. That would be the power circuit on the motherboard, most likely.

Toshiba M35 S359 Laptop screen brightness

Hello,

you can try windows up date, or check the control panel, locate display and check the Brightness settings.

It is also possible that part of your screen bulb is dead, that's why one part is dimmer.

But there is no drivers that will make your screen bright.

Take care.

I have Toshiba M35X satellite series. The problem is my laptop starts being late after it is turned on. And the other problem is the battery can be charged only up to 52%. After that the laptop will urned...

First, this may be an issue of old battery. The m35 is a rather old model, so it's no wonder if the battery fails to load at all. Second, your laptop may be suffering from the Maxim chip problem. During the time of m35, a lot of other laptops had this same problem with this Maxim chip that caused all kinds of weird problems with both Toshiba and HP models such as the m30, m35, m115, A65, A75 etc, and the HP NC6000, NC7000 and NC9000 series. It's a long story, a long explanation on how to repair the dead Toshiba m35 laptop. Take a look at the post for symptoms and solution, and don't forget to leave a comment if you find it helpful.

My toshiba laptop wont stay on, wheneve I turn it on it automatically powers off

I have the solution for the non booting Toshiba that I wrote almost a year ago. This tutorial (written and pics from the repair of my m35) is applicable to laptops that shut down without any warning, laptops that turn on only sometimes, and laptops that simply refuse to turn on (LEDs blink, fan spins up for a second and then everything just goes dead). So if your laptop does not turn on, it goes completely dead within a few minutes after bootup, here's the link to the tutorial. The repair takes about an hour, there's no need of replacing any parts, reinstalling any software or any other thing. The only investment in repairing your laptop with this tutorial is your time. Basically, you can repair your laptop within the hour, without spending any money for any parts or software.

Replacing M35-S359 motherboard with one from S320?

If the M35-S320 case is OK and the M35-S359 screen is OK and will fit the M35-S320 then I would swap the LCD screen lid and inverter over to the M35-S320 including the hard drive from the M35-S359.
It would be less work and with luck it might boot up, if not you might be able to do a system repair, worst case, you will need to reinstall Windows. Plus you have a spare drive from the M35-S320 which you can use as an external hard drive with an USB hard drive adapter case.
