How tos office 2007

Hi murthy_padal

MS Office 2007 is a program that requires a Licence before it can be used. Successfully entering the correct code confirms that the user has the Licence. If the validation process shows that the software is within the agreed number of validations defined in the Licence Agreement, the validation process is completed and the software is activated. Activation of the software entitles a user(s) to install and use the Program on the agreed number of different computers. Activated software entitles the user to benefit from support and to receive online updates, enhancements, security patches and upgrades from Microsoft. During the first of such downloads after activation, the activation is verified and the computer on which the Activated Program is installed becomes authorised for the Program to be operated on it and for it receive future regular downloads unhindered. Any failure of the Validation, Activation or Authorisation processes can result in Notifications, Error Messages, Usage Limitations or Usage Restrictions. MS Office can be installed without a Licence if a Trialversion is either be downloaded and installed or factory pre-installed on a new computer. At the end of the predefined and agreed Trial Period, a unique 25 character Activation Code must be purchased and entered in order for that Program to continue to be used on that computer. Entering the code, followed by Validation and Authorization put the user in the same position as the holder of a fully Authorizeded version of MS Office.

Currently, only 60 Day Trial versions of MS Office 2010 can be downloaded directly from Microsoft. And only full, licensed versions of MS Office 2010 can be purchased direct from Microsoft. Full, genuine original, licensed versions of MS Office2010 and limited remaining stocks of previous versions of MS Office(the 2000, 2003 and 2007 versions) can be purchased from Authorised Resellers of Microsoft Products. If you buy the physical software in a retail pack from a store or an online trader, you can Register and Authorise the product with Microsoft. Microsoft Products cannot usually be downloaded without the separate purchase of an Activation Code.
If you want genuine, authorised MS Office 2007, then you will have to purchase full, genuine, unused licensed versions of the software from a reputable, reliable supplier that still stocks it, such as Amazon (www.amazon.com). Online offers of Free Downloads of Microsoft products are probably almost universally either not genuine, illegal, unlicensed or pre-used licence versions, downloadable only from illicit download sites or sites that are masquerading non-existent Microsoft products as camouflage for the marketing of other (often unrelated) software, products or services and any software downloaded from them is likely to have Time or Usage Limitations or Access Restrictions once installed.

Another option is to download MS Office 2010 Pro 60 Day Trial and install it, carefully following each step. Go to: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/try

You can also download, install and use a comparable free Program - Open Office (www.openoffice.org). Open Office can be used simultaneously with MS Office Pro 2007 60 Day Trial. If you delete MS Office Pro 2010 60 Day Trial, well before the 60 day expiry date, and Remove all components of it from Add or Remove Programs (or its equivalent in your Operating System) and restart before downloading and re-installing, it is usually possible to enter into further 60 Day trial periods.

Hi nabacayan
MS Office 2007 is a program that requires a Licence before it can be used. The 25 character Product ID is a unique code that links a genuine, original MS Office CD with its original Licence. During installation, the Product ID is entered in order to be able to continue the installation. Entering the code binds the user to use the software only in accordance with pre-defined terms that appear on-screen during the installation process and that the user is required to tick to confirm agreement with before being able to proceed with the installation. Successfully entering the correct code confirms that the user has the Licence. If the Licence is unique, when the computer goes on line, the Program becomes activated when the Product ID that was entered is checked and validated on Microsoft's Licence Database by cross-referencing it with the computer's unique ID. If the validation process shows the Product ID to have previously been registered in association with a different computer, the validation process then checks how many users the Licence is valid for and which computers' unique IDs have been validated.

MS Office can be installed without a Licence if a Trial version is either be downloaded and installed or factory pre-installed on a new computer. In the event that you had considered obtaining that the software by downloading, please note that full, genuine licensed versions of Microsoft Products cannot usually be downloaded without the separate purchase of an Activation Code.

Even if you do succeed in finding a functional download site for MS Office 2007 AND manage to complete a successful, uncorrupted download, you will still have to purchase a separate, genuine, unused Activation Code for it before you can successfully install it, use it with confidence, register it, activate it and then download and benefit from Updates and Security Patches for it from Microsoft. Another option is to download MS Office 2010 Pro 60 Day Trial and install it, carefully following each step:

If you remain unable to reconcile the software with its correct matching Licence and yet are determined to continue using Win 7 Ultimate and MS Office 2007, then you will have to purchase full, genuine, unused licensed versions of the software from a reputable, reliable supplier, such as Amazon (www.amazon.com). My office pro 2007 product key won't validate

Make sure you didn't go over the licence's limit (i.e. number of computers allowed to install)
This might also be a problem f you have changed your hardware on your computer.
However, if you didn't go over the limit or change hardware, contact Microsoft for support.

A problem occurred when windows tried to activate. Error Code 0xC004F063. the Software Licensing servies reported that the computer BIOS is missing a required license.

I can tell you why you are getting this error. How to fix it depends on the reason you are getting this error.
Windows software licensing means that a copy of Windows is only valid for a Single PC. As part of the installation process the Licence key is linked to the motherboard of the PC.
The error is telling you that the Licence key you have for Windows has been activated and linked to a specific Computer B IOS. You can re-activate it on that computer, you cannot install it on another computer.
There are 3 reasons you can be getting this error
  • You have changed the motherboard or the BIOS chip in your machine and you are re-installing Windows. The Licence will not be accepted and this breaks MS licensing agreement.
  • You are trying to re-use an existing Windows Licence on a different machine - Not allowed using a OEM (operator installed) version of Windows.
  • You have reinstalled Windows on your machine using a different installation disc - this can cause confusion when re-installing an OEM version of the software. e.g. Dell branded OEM Windows will only install to Dell machines.
Assuming the licence is valid for the machine and the Motherboard you need to Contact your machine provider to get a valid installation disc - they may well charge for this service.

Microsoft office 7 confirmation

It is likely that the version of Office that came with your PC is a trial version. This would work for a limited period, following which you would have to purchase a licence to continue using it. This is common practice with new PCs.

Finding and using a procuct key from the internet is not valid and, as you have discovered, will probably not work. Even if it had worked you would be breaking copyright law as the licence has to be purchased from Microsoft.

You can remove the Office suite using 'Add or Remove Programs' in Control Panel. The rest of your software should work OK.

If you need to use Office programs you should either purchase a legal copy or use the OpenSource equivalent, which is fully compatible and free.

You can download OpenOffice here:

Just bought this brand spankin' new laptop and it has Vista on it... then the MS Office Home/Student ASK ME ABOUT PRODUCT KEY FOR STUDENT AND MAKE ME CONFUSED

Normally when you buy a laptop, it comes with Office installed, but it is only a trial version (same functionality that you get when you buy the perpetual versions, valid normally for 60 days), after, it will keep you asking to enter the Product Key.

Did you pay for an Office license when you bought your laptop? If it’s the case, the seller has to give you a licence certificate (with a product key), or the installation CD with the product key.

If you didn’t buy a licence, you need to buy one in order to continue the utilisation of the software.

If you don't want to pay for a license, you can use OpenOffice, the leading open-source office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and more. It is available in many languages and works on all common computers.

Great software, same functionalities as Microsoft Office, easy to use, and it's free:

What is the product key of microsoft office 2007?

It is the twenty five character licence number, ususally found on a long yellow sticker, either in the dvd case it was supplied in, or sometimes as a sticker attached to the PC or laptop (if pre-installed).

It is microsofts "token", which will automatically register your copy over the internet as genuine (or not licence it, if an invalid key is entered).

All of the value of Microsofts products rest in the product key - The software itself if freely downloadable from the Microsoft site, so that you can evaluate it for a short period.

If the original key was not supplied with your software, you need to investigate where it is now, as to use someone else's key is piracy and microsoft can suspend both copies (not that I've ever heard it happening),
