There are LOTS of things that can cause an A/C system to just blow hot air. It could be an electrical problem or it could be a hole in the system that is allowing all the freon to leak out. The system needs to be properly diagnosed before anyone can help you.
replace resistor. Resistor is somewhere along heater box. Has 4-5 wires coming out of it and is held into hearer box by 2 screws. Please let me know if you have questions.
Is there air blowing from the front vents? or can you hear the vacumm change when you change it from heat to cool..... I think it might be a vacumm problem... its a 1997 so the controller vacumm hoses may be cracking.. let us know
