Diamond Multimedia ( VC500) Video Capture

After I installed the program files from the disc and set up all the three cables for the audio and video, everything is hooked on right and tight but once I plug the VC500 device into the USB port the video thats playing from the TV does NOT show up on the computer screen for recording.


The screen sometimes shows nothing (black screen) or three short horizontal lines of blue and green light bars on the black screen.

I believe its the compatibility of the USB port function. The computer runs on Windows XP Professional 1 and is a Dell Latitude D600 laptop.

Any possible solutions are open!!!
