Question about Computers & Internet
My flip program disappeared from my computer for some unknown reason. I go to the flip site and try to download it again but every time I try to open the setup it says it is a corrupt file. This is what my download shows: http://support.theflip.com/downloads/flip/1224667038733/Setup_FlipShare.exe But it does not work and I cannot load any of my videos onto my computer. It also advices me to remove the program from my control panet - but it is not there to remove???

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: windows live messenger problem
What it is trying to do is install Windows Live Messenger so you can use your camera to communicate eith family and friends. At present you do not have a Messenger Program installed to do so.
What I suggest you do is download Skype which is FREE and leTs you connect to several or more family members and talk and view their picture.
Go to this site and download and install the Skype program.
You will have to pick an ID, After you get it setup, you will have to go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and setup the AUDIO SETTING and then the VIDEO SETTINGS. Then you will be able to add people to your contact list and call them and use your VIDEO Camera to see them.
If I can be of further assistance to you I will be pleased to assist uyou to get it all working.
Hope this is of some help . Bud

SOURCE: problem installing lifecam 2.04
just had the same problem read in another forum that you have to uninstall the net framework 2.0. (see below) which I found to complicated ...I just plugged the camera in - and at least with Skype it works ....
I found this link helpful:
Try and use method one to uninstall your .net framework software. Method one
did not work for me, I kept getting issues with removing both 2.0 and 3.0.
I then used method 2 which entails following another link and downloading a
.net framework cleanup tool. I ran the program to cleanup ALL .Net versions.
Then I went back to Microsoft Downloads and downloaded .net framework 1.1,
2.0 and 3.5 (not 3.0 - for some reason 3.0 would not download and created
Once these .Net Framework downloads were installed I downloaded and
installed LifeCam 2.04 software and my kid was up and running in 10 minutes.
It took me over a week to get this issue resolved.
One more thing, when you are downloading and installing your .net framework
files you need to make sure you download in the proper sequence. Also, for
some reason I encountered printer issues the first time through this. The
second time I just unplugged my printer untill all downloads were installed
and I did a computer restart and the printer issue went away.

Tips for a great answer:
Access the CPU-Z website, and click on the "1.55 setup, english" under the "Download latest release" on the right hand column of the page.
You will be taken to a separate download page.
Click on the purple "Download now!" button to begin download. A new window will pop up confirming the download. Click "Save File" to save the setup file to your computer.
Open the executable setup file by double clicking on it. Follow the setup process to install the CPU-Z software. Restart your computer when the software is finished installing. When your computer restarts, click "Start" from the bottom toolbar, then rollover the "All Programs" option. Look for the CPU-Z software and click on it to open the program. The program may take a few minutes to load your information.
Click the "Mainboard" tab at the top of the CPU-Z program window. This will reveal the manufacturer and model of your motherboard. Write down your motherboard information and keep it in a safe place. Click the red "X" in the top right corner of the program window to exit the CPU-Z software.
Sandra Lite Software Option
Access the Sandra download page through the SiSoftware website and click the "Download" button at the bottom of the "Lite" column.
You will be taken to a page with several download options. Select a download site from the "Affiliate Free Download Sites" section, and click on the link to the right of the red arrow.
Click the "Download Now" button on the site that you are taken to.
Double click the Sandra setup file to start the setup process. Follow the setup instructions to install Sandra. Restart your computer when the software is finished installing.
When your computer restarts, click "Start" from the bottom toolbar, then rollover the "All Programs" option. Look for Sandra under the SiSoftware category and click on it to open the program.
The program may take a few minutes to load your information.
Click the "Hardware" tab at the top of the Sandra program window, then double click on "Mainboard." This will reveal the manufacturer and model of your motherboard.
Write down your motherboard information.
Click the red "X" in the top right corner of the program window to exit the Sandra program.
hope this helps
