SOURCE: remove wfm 3200 pump

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I understand you are having trouble removing/locating the filter access cover on your Bosch Nexxt washer, correct ?

I've posted my solution to error code E13 which should in turn explain to you how this covered should be removed...the first 3 steps should explain/illustrate how this is done, you can omit the rest if you like or review for cleaning procedure.

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs, and a pair of mechanics gloves are recommended due to EXTREMELY sharp edges...safety first**

Get some towels and if possible a wet/dry vac. If the machine drained, it won't be too bad. If your machine is stuck full of water that is typically the reason for a locked door, that sucks...hopefully you won't get too wet. ( maybe you`re lucky enough to be close to a floor drain )

  1. Locate the round door on the front of the machine as you know (about 6" in diameter, lower rightcorner)
  2. Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.
macmarkus_30.jpg

3. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free...it will not rotate unless the release tab is pushed in. (the edges are very sharp so be careful).

4. Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand. ( you should also see a green ring with a string attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan )

There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out

5. Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap. Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated the error code.macmarkus_28.jpg

macmarkus_29.jpg

6. After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.

7. Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access door off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.

Ultimately you may have a faulty drain pump, but I would certainly start by performing the things I listed first.

Let me know if you require further assistance and if not and this solves your problem, please rate the solution I provided accordingly.

Thank you for coming to "FixYa" and good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

What could cause dryer to suddenly not turn on?

Clean the inside of the dryer. Take the from bottom off or where ever you can take a side off that can get inside or buy one of those kits that has a hose and things to clean out the stubborn lint that clings to the sides of the exhaust and inside your dryer drum. They are very expensive and be found at many public stores or even dollar stores. Or your belt could have broken but then it would turn on but the drum wouldn't move.

Minolta 7228 moved from one location to another now copies not clean.

I doubt that moving the machine has caused the problem shown.
Regardless- the copier drum is not being cleaned.
I would begin by replacing the Drum Blade.
It is technical and will require your knowledge of the service manual procedure.

Good luck

Print copy is very light. Is there an adjustment?

Usually light prints on a Brother just mean a bad toner cartridge, but try these first:
  • Most Brother drum units have a slider that you push back and forth. It's probably blue plastic. Sliding that wipes dust off a charging wire in the drum unit, where cleanliness is essential to getting a clean, dark print.
  • While you have the drum & toner out, look inside the machine for short, shiny steel wires on the inside walls. Those wires contact metal in the drum unit to transfer the high voltages required to get toner onto the paper. Clean those wires and contacts with a little wire brush or even a pencil eraser. Chances are, you've been pulling out your toner/drum assembly while this problem has been bothering you, and that has probably cleaned all the contacts enough.
  • Look at the slot in the top of the drum unit where you can look in and see the drum. The laser shines down through that slot to draw the image on the drum that will eventually be your print. Look up into the top of the chamber where the drum-toner sits, and you'll find a skinny glass window. Gently wipe that clean. Any dust or toner there will lighten your print. Be careful not to knock any of the tiny, black levers that stick up into the bottom of the area. Those are paper sensors, and they have to be delicate, so they can be moved by the paper passing over them.
I expect that none of these will help, and you'll have to get a new toner cartridge. If the old cartridge is still new, take it back to the store along with print samples. Maybe even bring the printer so they can test their toner themselves. They might just swap it for a fresh one; it's worth a try.

Washing machine is making noise even when drum isn't moving. Constant noise as if something is stuck inside.

hello,

the problem is from the jet stream that is the(rotor) which generate force on the drum to move on to is position it means that is weak it need to be replace or service
to service it you will have to unscrew the washer and adjust the jet back to is position connected to the drum then clean any form of dirt around it

but if you need to get another one apply online on at www.appliancecanada.com/ full of surprises like Washing machine Electric Cooktops · Gas Cooktops. Microwaves ... Sales centres are located in. Toronto and London, Canada.

good luck and thanks for using fixya.

Clean the drum on a Aficio copier

cleaning the drum wont help sounds like waste extraction coil is blocked
very very very common on those copiers and cleaning blade is contaminated,or you didnt keep it level when u moved it.In any case ull need engineer to fix it,unless u brave enough to take the drum unit apart and hoover all the toner/paper dust from the waste coil.Just dont touch any metal bits on your hoover ull get electric shock, have fun.

DARK SPOTS

Are the dark spots random and moves location with every copy or are they at exacly the same place on every copy? Random you will need to remove the drum/toner and use a blower to clean the inside of the machine, failing that replace the drum unit.If the spots don't move clean the top glass.Let me know

My hand brake does work when I pull it up even when I ajust it

slacken cable right off ,then remove the rear brake drums and using a small angle grinder clean the lip that forms on the drum as this will stop you from adjusting the brakes right up when you push the drum back on.next check condition of wheel cylinders and ensure their is no leaks and cylinders move when pushed in and not seized.then using a conventional oil can and not that silly spray junk lubricate the pivots and anything that looks like it should move. Then adjust the automatic adjuster till the brake shoes are just touching the drum when you offer it back up and spin it.Next adjust handbrake cable till you have 3 clicks on it .job done

Brother HL 2040 out of paper light stays on

Sounds like it sensed this as a paper jam. If it is your Paper LED that is stuck on:

We have a few of the HL-2070N's and I have seen this issue on a few of them. Usually it indicates one of several instances that can be found on Brothers website in the FAQ's about what does the LED indicate area.

The main solution I have found is that depending on where the paper jammed it has affected the drum/toner cartridge assembly somehow or another.
  • I recommend taking the Toner Cartridge out of the drum unit
  • clean the corona wire by moving the blue tab at the front of the drum unit back and forth several times
  • I have even used can air here to get it even better all around the drum unit not just at the corona wire area
  • After make sure all is clean put all back together
This has cleared up most all of my paper jam LED issues and allowed for further printing.
