a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The radio will have to be extracted from the dashboard and the SERIAL NUMBER (usually found on a label on the top of the metal casing ) quoted
This normally begins with M++++++ or L or C or V
Here is a video showing how to remove your radio from the dashboard. A pair of extractors are required (available from Ebay , Halfords or email us for details ) but these can be made from 2 pieces of bent, wire coat-hanger or 4 small drills(using the blunt end) or 4 small Allen Keys or 4 small screwdrivers or 4 nails or even 4 darts.
An assistant is useful to pull the radio out whilst you are releasing the 4 securing clips

Testimonial: "That's great - thanks"
Unfortunately the code for FORD V SERIAL NUMBERS are only obtainable from a Main Ford Dealer or a Decoding Service.
They are NOT available for free from anywhere on the Internet
