Pc won't power ( turn on)

My pc has been unplugged for 2 weeks.. now when i plug in the pc ..the blue light on the front panel doesn't come on at all, but a green light on the back of the pc starts flashing..also when i plug the power cord in the wall outlet it makes a little spark.I'm not sure if it's the power supply or the motherboard..

I've tested the power supply unit (PSU) with a multimeter..as long as the P1 connector isn't plugged into the motherboard a 12V current is running through P2, P3, P4,...and the green led light on the (PSU) is solid green. When I plug the P1 connector into the motherboard the current running through P2, P3, P4,..is 0V and the green led light on the (PSU) is flashing. I've come to the conclusion that it's the motherboard... I hope I'm right.. wish me luck...anymore suggestions..?

The green light is most likely your lan card/port. If the cord/outlet are sparking when you plug it in, I would say try plugging something else into that socket, if you get the same spark, I'd call an electrician. Also try plugging the pc into a different outlet. As far as the computer, if its not the outlet then it is the power supply, your motherboard may be fried in the process but if this isn't an issue with that outlet, then you should take it in to a shop.

TV won't turn on

It sounds that, the memory IC to your TV has damaged. This IC can be located very near to main system control IC. A very small one, with 8 solder terminals. Even though it is very small, function of it while the TV works is great. The work is a semi-skilled one, and you must have some knowledge in electronics to proceed.

Green timer light won't stop flashing on mitsubishi ws 73711.

the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.

If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that.

The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.

My coby tftv3229 wont turn on and I've only had it

If its two weeks old why are you here? Take it back to point of purchase and either have it fixed or replaced or get a refund.....

From the brand you likely are in UK but here all sets come with some kind of warranty==the problem sounds like a power supply issue but if you have a warranty and open the set it will void that warranty.

My fridgedaire window unit A/C and heat won't come on. I had replaced an outside light fixture a couple of weeks ago and had turned off the circuit breaker that affected this unit too. Now the unit...

Plug a light into the outlet used for the A/C, if the light does not come on when reset then the circuit breaker that provided the power to the outlet need to be reset or replaced.

When I turn on my set, light turns green, then after 30 seconds turns red won't come on

Sounds like there is a problem with the power supply. Try unplugging the T.V. and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Plug the T.V. back in and see if that helps. If it doesn't try switching to another outlet, and if that doesn't work then you may need to replace the power supply which would probably cost anywhere from 140 to 200 for one.

The on off button on front doesn?t turn the unit off and on

Same here, your light went out if you put a VERY bright light on you'll be able to see something on the screen if you plug it up to your computer, if you are getting a new one go dell its worth it becase they last and are durable.

When you turn on power only the blue light goes on and nothing else happens

There is an awesome post about capacitors going bad in polaroid TV's... it is here on fixya.

http://www.fixya.com/support/r741402-polaroid_flm_373b_lcd_tv_black_screen
and another thread here

I just took apart mine, and though the capacitors are not "bulged" as they apparently should be, I'm willing to spend the 45 bucks on parts (2 capacitors, soldering gun, solder, and de-soldering tool) on Amazon.

It should take 1-2 weeks for the parts to reach me and I'll post back with the results. It's better than dealing with the $300 solution proposed by polaroid...
