SOURCE: Setting time on Seiko watch 7N43

Mike 1935 if your watch has hands only & no digital display the crown where you set the watch pulls out half a click to set the date and should pull out a little further to set the time try that.

bjbc I am assuming your seiko watch is a digital watch. Try holding in the top rt button if its the watch I think it is it should change to 12yr time.

SOURCE: re-set quartz chronograph sweeping second hand

Easy Soultion worked for me. Believe Me I was worried only had the Seiko Sportura for a week now. My second dial for the stopwatch was re-setting to 5 seconds instead of zero. The Solution is
1. pull the Crown all the way out ( In the position you take the crown to set the time , second click ).
2. To set the minute face of stop watch , keep pressing the top button untill it is zero. To set the second needle to zero keep pressing the bottom button untill it reaches zero or where you like it to re-set each time. Depend on you.
3. Once all neddles of stopwatch are at resting postions ( usually zero) secure the crown back to its normal postion. Test your stop watch , hopefully it will go back to zero when you press the reset button. C

Glad to help. ashfaque.r@googlemail.com

SOURCE: seiko chronograph alarm

Solution #3 (Posted by Guest on 5 Mar 08) is spot on. Quick and easy method to reset the chrono hands (it was not in my Seiko manual).
Interestingly, this can also be used to set the chrono ahead (or behind--with a little math) for offset timing measurements.

How to remove the crown in 5M43 calibre kinetic watch by seiko

take the back off the watch...carefully look inside the watch for a small arrow, it will be pointing to a tiny dot pull out your crown as far as you can. use a small pin/tweezer, what ever will fit in that small hole push in the hole and at the same time, pull your crown out. it should pop right out!

hope this helped!

I have an older timex mens wrist watch and I would like to know where I can look to find the model number on it. It is a wind not battery powered. Thank you for your help.

mcdevito75 here, I just took a peak into my own Older Timex watch, even though it"s a ladies the model number was on the movement itself and only a 3 digit number. Since the older Timex watches were mass produced this is all you may have as far as serial numbers go, and Timex did all their own watches so a serial number may only be 3--4--5 digits long. Anyway, double check the entire watch with a magnifier glass for the serial number, then check inside the back cover and movement itself. Here is Timex contact info, 800-448-4639 if needed.

Seiko may be able to dig something out of their archives you ask nicely.

Hugo Boss watch

go to this link and find your nearest Movado Group(they make and repair the watches) service centre; http://a3.geoserve.com/scripts/esrimap.dll?Name=L&Com=fo&Db=DLRMovall&Ds=Movado&Filt=User4%20LIKE%20'_S%25' They can probably answer your question over the phone or e-mail, if not they certainly could if you could get the watch inspected. Most jewellers would also probably know - sometimes the serial number can be marked inside the watch, but I found no information online about your model that discusses this. Hope this helps, hope it's real :)
