Question about LG 32 32LK450 32 in. LCD TV
When I plug it in the red light is on and it turns blue when I touch the "on" button. No picture or sound. Can the screen be tested by hooking it up to something and is there a way to test the T-Con and Main boards. I suspect the startup board is ok since it lights up. (the lights) Thanks, Bob

SOURCE: LG RZ-23LZ40 no Picture
Best send repair manual.
I have pics to show / identify problem but I cannot attach to my reply. Parts defective are: 4532M x 2 (UC2 & 3), diode next to diode RC22 & cap C35 and IC6 (cannot see part number). Board number is YPNL-M007B r1.0, also recognized L.G. Phillips part number: LC230W01-A2
My hands are not as steady as years ago to do surface mount solerering but my wife can as she has done this before being electronic equipment assembler.
As stated before I need to find source of what I suspect is short that had blown these components.
I bet a replacement board is more expencive than a new LCD TV!, but I want to resolve this prob and maybe help others...LG too.
Thanks Heaps Jaime867!

Common problem on this set is the main board p/n AGF33761101. However, you might try a 'quick fix' mod on this set which involves locating and bypassing components.
I do think that the replacement board just have these 4 coils bypassed on them already, so you might be able to save some $$$ if you're electronics-savvy by removing and discarding coils l4010, l4011, l4012 and l4203... then jump the solder pads they were on with small bits of wire, making very sure not to short to ground. Good luck!

When you say that you have replaced the main board i assume you mean the power board? If the green light comes on and blinks when the remote is touched it was never a issue with the mainboard, if it was you wouldnt have any signs of power. In most lcd tvs you have the main board which is normally the power board, the signal board which recieves signal and hold settings of the tv which can be all in one, the other is the inverter board, which scrambles the signal to what you see on the screen, and next we have the back light which lights the screen so you can see the picture, sometimes in certain models as i have learned you can have power/inverter boards which means the inverter and power are all on the same board, in your case i pressume the inverter board is seperate board and probably the issue you need to address, you can buy these online probably the same place you got your new mainboard from. Hope this helps pls post bach what happens.
