How do i turn it on

The answer to this question really depends on what 'it' is. Please provide more information - camera make and model, age, when this problem first occurred and the circumstances, whether it has been dropped or subjected to excessive temperature / humidity / liquid immersion etc.

HOW DO I GET MY MY DESKTOP DELL COMPUTER CAMERA TO TURN ON.

The model of your computer and the model of the monitor along with the operating system and date would be a great help when you ask for this kind of information.

Depending on the age of the operating system and the age of the camera, where it is, and so on.
If it is in the monitor, then there are drivers to make it come on.
There may be a camera cable to connect to the computer from the monitor, if that is where it is.
If we are talking about Windows, then in the control panel-system-hardware, you should see the camera some where.
If it is not there, then either the driver is not installed, or the camera is not plugged in or both.

Always give all the information you can, it sure can help us to help you.

My fujifilm camera fine pix a610 won't work i've had it for quite a bit of time and i only just turned it on in ages and it won't turn on. i am using kodak batteries

Because you haven't turned it on in ages the battery has probably died. Try connecting the camera directly to the power adapter without the battery. Does it turn on then? If so then the battery is the problem and you need a new one. You can get a new one from here

My canon PowerShot S 410 has a pinkish blurry lines across the screen and that is what the picture turnes out to be. I use differant memory cards it makes no differance. The battries are the same age as...

The imaging sensor (CCD chip) has degraded due to age and failed. This is a common fault on digital cameras over six years old.

Replacing the chip is the only fix, but it's not cost effective on a camera as old as yours as it's job for professionals only.

Normal 0 Because of the age and the fact that it may cost more to fix your camera than to just buy a replacement, I would suggest you buy a replacement. The problem could be anything from dirty battery contacts (try shining them up with a pencil eraser) to faulty electronics (dropping or dampness could effect these) and there is really no way to know without more information. And we go back to the age and replacement cost. A new A480 runs about $100 now.

One time use camera-defective

these cameras when taken apart actually have a AA battery inside for the flash. If the camera has been on the shelf for a long time then you may have old battery. Check the date on the camera and be sure that is at least two years past current.
