To connect a controller to Xbox 360 console:
Wired Controller:
1) Simply plug in the controller into one of the three USB ports avaiable on the system. Two of which are on the front of the console( next to the power button, there is a small door, it is marked by two dots on top, open it and you will find the two USB ports, the third USB port is on the back of the system)
Wireless Controller:
1)Press and hold the Xbox guide button until the controller turns on.
2) Make sure that the console is on, then press and release the connect button on the console( the button next to the memory card slots)
3) Press and release the connect button on the Xbox wireless controller, if connected the ring of lights on the controller will stop blinking, one of which will now be constantly lit, The same will occur on the ring of lights on the console itself

Controller wont charge

If you can still play games with the USB cable connected to the controller and the console then the batteries inside the controller are dead and can't be charged anymore. You would need to replace the batteries, although getting a different new or used controller may be cheaper and less of a hassle. If you can't even play games with the cable connected try a known good USB cable and connect it to the console.

Unable to connect Joystick in Game Controlers

What game are you trying to play? Most newer games don't know about the old game ports anymore. That could be the cause.

Xbox controllerwirless wontconnect to pc

To connect the controller to a computer that is running Windows XP SP2 or a later version of Windows, follow these steps:
  1. Press and hold the Xbox Guide button until the controller turns on. The Xbox Guide button is the round button with the green "X" near the center of the controller.
  2. Make sure that the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows is plugged in to your computer.
  3. On the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows, press and release the small round Connect button.
  4. On the controller, press and release the Connect button. The Connect button is the small button on the front edge of the controller, between the left bumper button and the charging port.
  5. The Ring of Light on the controller spins and flashes one time, and the light on the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows flashes. When the controller is connected, the Ring of Light on the controller remains lit and indicates the position in which the controller is connected.
Note If you want help connecting an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller to your personal computer, you can contact Xbox Customer Support. For more information about how to contact Xbox Customer Support, please visit the Xbox Support (http://www.xbox.com/support/) Web site.

Connection

Have you set up the controller to work with that particular xbox yet? You have to push the connect button on the front of the xbox and then the small white connect button on the controller to initialize the connection.

Hi, I have just recently purchased

Some of the games for windows games which support controllers are ridiculously finicky. Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge moto gp 07 is one of those. There may be a workaround pushed into an update somewhere though, so make sure your game is fully updated.
