Question about Televison & Video
We were just supplied 3 remotes from Hay. The remote has a WATCH TV button but they are telling me that it doesn't work and to use the power button then tv, STB and or Audio. Doesn't make sense to me....the instructions with the remove indicate Setup Method G should be used to turn all your equipment on?? Could you plse clarify. Is there a problem with the Watch TV button? It would be really nice if it worked correctly. Thanks again Lois

You could have gotten an electrical surge that put your set into a shutdown condition and unplugging the set and letting the Microprocessor reset will fix this problem if it dosent blow out the main power regulator as you still or might I say have a regulator IC problem. IF THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS AGAIN MORE THEN A FEW TIMES WITHIN A SMALL TIME FRAME I WOULD HAVE THE SET LOOKED AT BEFORE THE REGULAOR BLOWS SOMETHING OUT!!!!

Hi, Based on your post/description: 1. the TV is stuck to A/V; 2. you have two video sources - VHS & DVD (assuming both are external and both have A/V outputs with the VCR also with inputs); 3. you want to use either VHS & DVD, one at a time. You can do it the old fashion way, remove yellow, red, white RCA connectors from DVD and plug them at the outputs of the VHS when you want to use the VCR; or Connect the A/V outputs of the DVD to the inputs of the VCR, connect the outputs of the VCR to the A/V inputs of the LXI TV. Hopes this give you an idea. Post back how things are or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: Samsung TV Remote
Replace it with a Universal Remote with Learning, This way, if the new Universal codes in its Manual don't work for your Samsung, (they most likely will if the new remote is not used older one bought off eBay) then you can Teach it to Learn codes off the working keys on you Samsung.
Sony Learning Remotes are a very good choice, sold at Walmart or eBay. The advantage to a good Universal, is you can also program in all your other audio/video remotes into one remote.
