Question about Sony DVP-S330 DVD Player
I think we have accidentally put the Sony DVP-S330 DVD player into a dealer lock setting. The disk that is in the player now plays fine, and all functions work, but when we try the Open button the display reads "LOCKED" and the drawer will not open. The owner's manual and the Sony web site only say to check with the dealer or repair center when this happens. From reading here and at other sites, I think we are stuck in a dealer lock setting, which allows a dealer to put the machine on display with a disk playing and prevent customers in the store from removing the disk. I've tried unplugging the machine and leaving it unplugged for 15 minutes. I've tried holding Open & Power & Return all at once, and a few other key combinations, but nothing has worked yet.
How I got my DVD
from ”lock” condition
My DVD (Panasonic m: DMR-ES10) had gone to ”locked” condition without any warning.
Perhaps the reason was that I transfered the machine when it was on and recording was going…
Guidebook didn´t help to resolve the problem, neither Internet. Finally I managed to solve the promlem . This is how i did step by step:
1) Power on
4) no disc
6) to others
8) select down arrow
10) select right arrow
11) setings for playback
13) ratings (level8)
15) No limit
17) ”The Recorder is now unlocked” (picture of open lock)
After this DVD works normally.
