From past experience with water damaged electronics and microelectronics...... don't hope to fix it because the moisture infiltrares itself in the surface mounts components, starts to corrode immediately(especially when powered up) and causes malfunction. Sorry to say that your best bet is to bite the bullet and get a new one. And don't use your device in the John....I'm sure it can wait until you're finished. Don't get mad at me, but this is an expensive device, right?
P.S Most phone carriers/ sales offices offer insurance that covers all possible damages. It could be worth it in this case.
Good luck!

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: I dropped my HTC Eris in the toilet. It turns on

There is no way verizon can download all your contacts for you to turn around and put them back on the phone? I have never heard of them not being able to do that. I know a few people that have had their contacts downloaded, phone reset then put back on the phone by using the computer system that verizon uses to transfer contacts to a new phone.

Your cell phone may be locked to a particular cell phoneprovider and in this case it needs to be unlocked to use with a different cellphone service provider. To get the security code/restriction code to unlock thecell phone from the current cell phone provider so you can use the SIM cardwith a different phone provider, Please click on this link and follow myinstructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r4049238-unlock_cell_phone If your phone provider does not help you then this WEB siteit provides security codes for a small price. http://www.mobileunlockstore.com/?gclid=CKDb2_y2558CFSlJagodxBkDHw Try this WEB sites - http://www.unlock-free.com http://www.unlock-zone.com/ http://www.unlocking.com/

SOURCE: I have the android 2.2

Hi, it is possible to do so. I own a HTC Eris and i've gone from 1.6 up to 2.3 and back but the methods I use with my phone would not work with yours. So, unfortunately I can't give you step by step instructions on how to do this BUT, I can give you a link to your solution. The xda-developers website is a great place to go for any kind of information you need for your phone. Because of these guys my phone went from being locked and frozen to running better than it did out of the box. Just follow the link below and you should be where you want to be. Good luck!
