The INF is the driver information file. It's missing the driver file. If I remember correctly, windows 95 does not support USB. I thought USB was first supported with Windows 98.

VGA DRIVER FOR ms 6524 ver 1 motherboard NOT INSTALLED NEED FOR MY COMPUTER

Here's the AWARD BIOS for you msi (Micro Star International)
ms 6524 mainboard/motherboard. It comas as an executable .EXE file. Upgrading/reinstalling your motherboard BIOS may solve your VGA "driver" problem, but drivers are
really the province of MSDOS/Windows - motherboards know nothing of drivers, and simply provide a BIOS to interface between the operating system drivers (the OS can be Linux,
or MS windows, or anything).

To get the VGA driver for your MSwindows system, access your C:\Windows\drivers directory where you should find the file "vga.sys," which is the generic VGA driver for MSwindows. This driver will be referenced in the installation file Oemsetup.inf, which you will find in the C:\WINDOWS\inf directory - its ASCII, so you can open it up and read it with "notepad," or your favorite editor.

Use this link to determine which Video driver windows is actually using
when it boots (WinXP only):

Use this link to FORCE windows to use the default VGA driver
even when running an unsupported monitor (which I suspect could be the problem you're facing).

I have a Dell Vostro 400 and two video cards. Only one card will work and it is an Nvidia GeForce FX 5200.The other one is an ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO. These are the specs from the two graphics cards:...

you cant join two different platform vga cards. simply because they have their own platform and have separate drivers, so they conflict each other thus causing one of them shut off or disable..

Hello,

INF error usually occurs if the inf file is missing or the auto run .inf extension file is missing. INF is used to load the auto run of the application that made it possible to be used to any specified application that serves its purpose. So therefore your SD card reader won't show up due to the face that its INF file that is responsible in loading it application is missing. So i recommend that you have to reinstall completely the driver of SD Card reader in order to be able to use the application.

Thanks

VGA compatible

Hello, my name is Steve and I have replaced many motherboards on laptops. If you have a display then hardware can be ruled out as the problem and the real deal is an .inf file that Windows cannot match or find. Every time I run across this common problem I first try to find the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) chipset drivers which is usually an executable (.exe) file and run that first before trying to update or install any specific display drivers. If you cannot find the OEM chipset drivers or they are unavailable then look on the motherboard itself and look for the largest alphanumeric characters which identify the motherboard and do a Google search for that character series which will at least give you a list of results naming the motherboard manufacturer like Intel, Asus, Matsonic, etc. then go to that manufacturer's web site and you will find generic chipset drivers for that model. Remember that being able to see the display means that Windows is using a VGA driver found in the .inf files. If you really want to see those files you must go to Folder Options, View then uncheck the boxes that say Hide System files. There will be scads of .inf files to see in the Windows folder but running the chipset executable will solve your issue. One more tip -Google searches will lead you to driver updates more comprehensively than Windows updates for hardware. The new Google Chrome browser is also a better search assistance since every character you type lists options for your search before you even finsh typing -helpful if you are unsure of what you are searching.

Download the .inf file, then go to the add hardware utility in the control panel and have it look to the .inf file you downloaded.
