SOURCE: cuisinart coffee maker won't brew

Here is the basic troubleshooting for the Cuisinart coffee makers:
Make sure all baskets are in proper place – especially if unit is beeping.
Do not use a paper and a gold-tone or other permanent filter at the same time.
Unplug for LONGER THAN 15 full minutes to reset.
Clean by brewing 2 oz of distilled white vinegar/2 oz water.
If these methods fail, the unit probably requires replacement – call Cuisinart as they have a longer-than-standard warranty.

Coffee maker doesn't appear to have power

Make sure the outlet where the coffee maker is plugged in is live. Plug in a different appliance to verify that the outlet works. After that, there is usually a power button on the back or side of the machine. If you still have no power it is probably a fuse that is inside the coffee maker. This is best left to a skilled electrician or appliance repair person.

Why is my coffee cold?

  1. Be sure that the unit is plugged into a working outlet.
  2. When initially setting up the coffeemaker, it is necessary to wait at least 20 minutes to allow the water in the internal tank to reach the ideal brewing temperature.
  3. When brewing consecutive pots of coffee, it is necessary to wait 10 minutes in between to allow the water in the internal tank to reach the ideal brewing temperature.
  4. Be sure that the Warmer Plate Switch has been switched to "ON" (SB11 ONLY ).
  5. Be sure that the Reservoir Power Switch has been switched to "ON".

While attempting to clean our DGB-500 Coffee maker, my wife touched a button, and now it continues to beep and will not start. Can you give us a suggestion as to how to get it to start.

I think that touching any button should not get any problem to the Coffee maker. But, I would try to unplug it from the wall outlet and let it unplugged for at least 10 min, in order to reset the Microcontroller inside it. Then try again to put it working. If nothing changed, try living it unplugged for more time. Or try pressing buttons and hold them some seconds while plugged on AC.

We poured the amount of water needed to make the amount of coffee desired but 30 minutes later no coffee was made. Does the bottom "warmer" button need to be on or does the maker just need to be...

The tank inside holds about 2 and a hlalf pots of water. Once the tank is full, whatever you pour in will come out. The unit has to be plugged in to make coffee. Leave a pot under the brew funnel and pour a pot of water in. If nothing comes out within a minute, pour another pot of water in. Still if nothing comes out do it again. This time for sure water will come out. It will take avout 10 minutes to get hot enough the first time it is full to make coffee. If you have a thermometer, the water should be about 190 degrees F to make coffee correctly.

Blinking lights

let it blink for about 15 minutes, then adjust each one of the settings, then turn it off and back on, for some reason it stops flashing and will work. Warning, after doing this for about a week, mine now has no power at all. It is plugged in and the outlet works and there is no power going to the machine, it is not even a year old!

Coffee machine doesn't work

is it plugged in, b.s.? j/k, it's probably a switch that needs replacing. check the basic things you need to do before reuse after cleaning. make sure the elect.outlet you plugged into is working (maybe try another outlet?) seems like a power supply problem; a blown/bad switch could effectively cut off power to the whole unit. good luck!
