Motherboard is expensive. It's better to buy a new computer rather than a motherboard.
If you want to increase performance, then upgrade the RAM stick and harddrive.

CAN I CHANGE MY MOTHERBOARD 2 INCREASE THE PERFORMANCE OF MY DELL STUDIO 1450

Very hard and expensive to replace a motherBoard on a laptop.
If you have performance problem try to clean the computer from all malware, using malwarebyteantimalware . the ferr version is excellent.
After disable all program that open when you start your computer. CCleaner has the option to do this and it will also delete unnessessary files ...
If you still have preformance problem you could change the memory chip in your laptop for a bigger one ... but usually the clean-up is enough

Is this a Mercury motherboard? And is that P 'eye' G3 'eye' T?
Or P L G3 L T?

What is the question?

Ya know Dual Channel memory is overrated, right?

If a motherboard is capable of using Ram Memory in a Dual Channel configuration, it has two Channels.
Motherboard with 4 Ram Memory slots has two slots in one channel, and the other two slots in another channel.

The two ram memory modules ('Stick'), MUST be alike.
Same frequency rate ('Speed')
Same type
Same ram timings
Same chip configuration
Same voltage

This is why it is best to use two ram memory modules that are alike, AND from the same ram memory manufacturer.

When ram memory is used in a dual channel configuration, the two ram memory modules team up on the task.
Kind of like Batman and Robin.

ON paper it looks good. many thought they were getting an increase of up to 30 percent, in ram memory performance.

In reality it is more like 1 to 2 percent.

Tomshardware performed MANY tests, using MANY motherboard/processor/ram memory configurations, and found this out.

So why do gamers use Dual Channel configuration?
Hey, 1 to 2 percent IS an increase, lol!
EVERY little bit helps.

Post back in a Comment.

I need info about what the cpu phase leds on aN msi 990fxagd65 mean

They indicate the number of different power phases that the CPU is currently using. In order to save power the motherboard is able to reduce the voltage to (and performance of) the CPU. In 2 phase mode (2 LEDs) it basically switches between high performance, and low performance. 4 LEDs means that there are two additional intervals in between the high and low power settings. 6 LEDs indicate six total phases, etc.
I believe that there is a greater possibility of system instability as you increase the number of phases that the motherboard switches through.

I increased memory from 512 to 768 on Dell desktop with 2.4 celeron but did'nt seem to increase speed.what is the problem? Ray.

That minimal amount of increase is not going to be a very noticeable increase also the processor or a faster RPM hard drive is more for the speed. you can go to the system properties in control panel and then the advanced tab and then the settings tab on performance then to the Advanced Tab then to change tab in virtual memory then to custom size make the initial setting 1.5 times the amount of memory installed in your case 768 x 1.5 = 1152
on the max 3 x the amount of memory again, in you case 768
768 x 3 = 2304

Overclocking aopenax4b-533 mobo

In some motherboards, you can increase the multiplier, which will increase your processor speed.(Briefly, Processor Speed = FSB x Multiplier) You can also increase the chipset, memory, and CPU voltage, which will sometimes allow you to have a higher FSB. There are other settings such as PCI Bus and AGP Bus, you generally don't want to touch those, either they might put risk to your PC, or that they won't make much difference in performance. Be careful when you overclock because you can really damage your computer that way.

I have elite mother board P4 M800 PRO M2 socket 775...the problem is always hang and to slow..i reformat 3 times but the problem same plz help me i need assistance..

This are things that need to consider in a computer speed performance:
1. Amount of ram memory(If you have only small amount of memory then your computer performance is poor.)
2. Speed of your processor(You should need at least a 1Ghz processor speed or more).

I suggest you increase your ram memory so that your computer will perform faster.
