Problem for Handspring Visor Deluxe Handheld
Visor Deluxe OS3.0.1 Fatal Error
Pressing the applications button results in a dialog box entitled "Fatal Error" which prevents opening various applications by tapping on a specific application. Inside this dialog box is the statement "Fatal Exception" A reset button appears at the bottom of the box. Applications can be opened only by pressing the applications button at the bottom of the handheld.
A "Hard Reset" followed by sync with the desktop unit did not remedy the problem.

Search the Palm site for HS Updater - you download this to your visor and run it. It asks you to input the serial letters and numbers inside the battery flap of your visor. If your visor is one of those affected it will fix a problem that affects the visor memory and produces crashes like yours.

Your application is for an upgraded version of the Palm OS. Say you had a Palm OS version 2 or something. If you download an application for Palm OS 5, obviously it won't work because the application is for a later version. Make sense? To remedy this, you will have to delete the application and get one with a version that matches or is lower than your Palm's.
