SOURCE: I have a Snyder Industries sprayer for and ATV

There is a filter screen on the pickup tube in the tank (or there should be) if there is a lot of debris in the tank it will slowly start to plug up the screen and reduce the liquid intake for the pump. If that is not the case then take the spray nasals off and clear the debris from them. Hope this helps you.

Borrow ATV to do some field spraying but it keeps blowing the 30 amp fuse. Sprayer on its own power. Replace fuse, runs for a couple of minutes then blows, thoughts?

Check the rated amp draw on the sprayer. It might be rated higher.. If the sprayer is wired with too small wire it might be causing too high an amp draw..see if the wires are hot? How is the sprayer grounded? Make sure ALL the wire connections are clean and tight. Use a blade type fuse in a waterproof holder. Recheck all this and repost with the results.

Roundup Sprayer

Hi Robert
Your pump probably needs priming.
Hold the triggger down and squeeze the bottle at the same time to create a pressure inside of the bottle of spray to prime the pump.

Wagner 404 Plus Airless motor stops.

All airless sprayers are on-demand pumps. The two settings are prime and spray. When it is set to prime, the pump will draw liquid from the bucket below and pump it out the side tube and will never stop until you switch it back to spray. When set to spray, the pump will run until the pre-set pressure is reached, then stop. As soon as you start spraying, the pump will run until a few seconds after you stop spraying. Tip size and pressure setting will affect how long after you stop spraying the pump will run. A large tip and high pressure will cause the pump to run longer after you stop spraying.

Sprayer drips instead of spraying

Pressure test: pump it several times then open the cylinder (like you were going to pour in more solution): was there a noticeable pressure release? If not, then your problem is in the pump assembly. Examine the end (the end which goes into the tank) flapper valve. While the pump is out of the tank, pump it a few times. Do you see/hear the flapper move with inflowing air? If not, herein lies your problem. Put a few drops of oil down the assembly where the pump slides up/down. Work the pump a few times. If this does not solve the problem, try to dissamble the pump mechanism and MAYBE you will be able to replace faulty intern parts/gasket. If you DO have internal pressure in the tank, yet no spraying action: disassemble all parts coming after the pump. Hose, off/on switch/lever, spray tip. Yes, it will completely disassemble. Inspect/clean everything/blow out the spray tip or use a thin needle to clean the tip. While you have everything apart, use "silicon plumbers' grease" and generously lube all of the o-rings: this will afford a very good seal and prevent pressure loss. You can buy the plumbers' grease at the big box stores or plumbing supply places. Good luck.

Sprayer will not stop pumping when switched to pump mode after primed it will not shut down it just keeps pumping. .

Paint sprayer.
Flip lever down to prime > paint comes out small plastic hose.
Flip lever up to put pressure on spray line.

Problem: prime keeps running and spray line never gets pressure.

Future solution:
You did not clean sprayer very well last time, or it is rusted. When cleaning, run full 5 gallons of cleaner through machine twice.
You should fill spray line and pump with kerosene if machine sits idle more than few days.
We all forget.

Good news: you have prime. If machine doesn't prime, you probably have to disassemble.

More good news: There are two steel balls inside pump. Tap top one with hammer to loosen. Keep machine running. Keep lever up. Start tapping top one. Tap a little harder... keep tapping ... sometimes it will not free up ... take apart pipe and see if you can nudge ball loose >> be careful not to scratch anything... the sprayer is high pressure and all parts have to fit

The spray stream is not consistent. After 2 - 3

The pump cycles to keep the pressure constant. It could be the impeller---they sell special ones to use with nonaqueous sprays--ie petroleum based. If petro was used at some time, the impeller might be bad.
