Whats a control jack on a sony SS-WG450 plug into if i'm hooking it to a JVC reciever?

That subwoofer is included in the MHC-GX450 system. I have the amp/CD/radio unit. but not the subwoofer. The control cable connects the LED on the Sub to the main unit. When the main unit detects this connection to the LED it switches on its internal subwoofer amp to drive the subwoofer.

Does the JVC receiver use a "control" circuit through its external subwoofer unit to signal that it is connected to the subwoofer? If not, you do not need to use the control jack on the
SS-WG450 to connect to the JVC receiver. Connecting the Sony subwoofer to a subwoofer output on the JVC unit may be enough. Do check the impedance required by your JVC receiver. Sony lists the SS-WG450 as having a Nominal impedance of 6 Ohms. Is this high enough for the JVC unit?

I have a jvc sp-pw50 Subwoofer and i want to know if you can buy an adapter for the input so i can hook it up to my kenwood amp? my amp does have a regular audio jack

That would require you to disassemble the subwoofer cabinet and disconnect the the supplied amplifier.
Connecting this unit to a different amplifier would provide no benefit to you unless the on-board amplifier became damaged.

Power light doesnt even come on when I plug mu JVC sub woofer sxpw 850. Does it mean its kaput and time to buy a new one? thanks

There are usually fuses in appliances like that but I don"t know if they are even change able so I would say it would be a better idea to get a new one, just save a little time and hassle.

Just got a used boat with a JVC KD S590 stereo and a JVC KS AX302 amp. The stereo works fine with the in boat speakers but the tower speakers do not work, I checked them both on another system and they...

take a digital volt meter and check the power cable and ground on the amp to see if you are getting any power . should read 12.5 or more if no power then check fuses and the ground connection

if you have power then replace the equipment that not working

Size of speakers and amp recomendation for JVC KW-AVX800

you need to find out what size speakers you have now and upgrade them with that size the amp you get will be based on the rms rating of the speaker. Example if the speakers rms rating is 100 watts the get a amp that puts out between 100 and 120 watts rms also to add bass you could go with a subwoofer that will add all your low freq. If you want something that doesn't take up alot of room try a bass tube you can get one amplifed or not.

Good Luck

JVC Subwoofer problem.

You may have a break in the wire. You can find out by slowing moving your fingers down the wire until you notice sound coming from the subwoofer. You can fix it yourself by cutting about an inch away from the break both ways. Then cuttings some of the wire off, so the copperwire is exposed. then wrap the two copperwire ends together and seal it with elections tape. or Try replacing the 60 watt subwoofer wire.
