Question about Canon PIXMA iP4300 InkJet Photo Printer
When printing 4 x 6, about 1" from the end of the photo, the printer makes a scratchy noise and I get lines across the entire widthof the photo. Sometimes the page moves about too. This never happens (touch wood) when printing A4. I have tried putting paper i both locatios, no good.
Your printer sounds as if it has a hatred for one type of paper size!!! Seriously, it could be a positional blockage, ie debris in a place that allows large paper no worries, but as soon as it repositions itself to do 4x6 it catches a block. open unit if you can and thoroughly check for debris, ie papeer bits. Hope this helps. Also give your printer some tlc, clean heads, both manually with solution and cotton buds, and run print tests, clear print jobs memory, and try unconnecting and reconnecting cables, and powere supply.
