Re: Lost color on Samsung TX-R2735
You may have a loose solder connection on a PC board in the color circuits. You might try jarring the set by hitting it at different places on the cabinet. NOT TOO HARD !
Like not with a hammar.
If there is a loose connection it may show up.
Also check to make the color level control hasn't gotten turned down.
Hope this helps.
Sometimes when you move a set you flex the circuit boards. If there is a poor connection it may show up--- in your case in the color circuits.

The outputs from the dvd that you are describing are that of line level and not rf...so you don't need to tune the tv to anything..you just need to put the tv on the video source setting(video1,2,3 etc..)..if you have the remote..there should be an input buttton or a source button
It may or may not work. There's no way to program it unless it's a universal remote, and even then you'd need to find the codes. I'd put some batteries in and hit power... if it works it works.
Universal remotes aren't expensive though. Pick one up if the old Sony won't work.
Resetting the TV If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:
NOTE: Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time. 1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet. 2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...) 3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds. 4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV. 5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again. 6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices. 7. Turn on the TV.
please check you TV color system. you are not using the right color frequency. if your TV has got an auto color region select then set it to auto. otherwise, select the TV color mode until you get the right color frequency
hey, unfortuntly i don't think the problem is with your dvd player but with your tv. I just searched the net because i'm on my second trutech tv that lost color. No matter where i plug it into, either the front or back composite connections i still have no color. I've tried multiple dvd players and even bought a converter so i could plug a dvd player into the coax connection. still a no go. horrible product
