brushes usually available on ebay,

if the drum rotates but does not spin, this could likely be brushes or component problem (i.e triac or relay) on control PCB. - the latter was the problem i had and this was easily spotted as a blackened track on the Relay on the pcb.

Brushes should be ~£5. - check the existing brushes first before buying them.

fitting is easy, BUT a word of warning..which you probably know anyway..
before meddling though in the machine, locate the large capacitor and with electical screwdriver and discharge all the terminals to earth first! - YOU MUST DO THIS TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK!! - even if the machine is unplugged.

remove motor & undo the back plate to release old brushes.
clean of motor of any excess carbon dust, - this can eventually cause arching if not cleaned away.

reassemble and fit all plugs back.
THEN TAKE 5 MINUTES TO CHECK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE BEFORE SWITCHING ON. -
Do not rush anything - take your time.

SOURCE: changing brushes on motor of Bosch WFL 2450 washing machine

Remove rear panel of washer, and undo 2 screws that secure the motor, lever motor back with a screwdriver or similar, and unplug motor lead.
Be sure to keep hold of the motor so it does not drop on the floor.
You will see the brushes at the terminal end of motor, remove and replace.

Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

SOURCE: bosch classixx 1000 express wont spin

Check the motor housing for an overload button, usually on the back and coloured black or red. Give it a push and if it clicks then the motor might have just been a bit stressed out and popped it.

Next two things are more serious unfortunately. The relay on the circuit board might have burnt contacts from switching the motor over the machines life, or, one of the motors windings has developed a fault. (these are both pretty rare though).

Why is my machine showing F _08 cant take it off

What brand of washer is it? For Hotpoint and Indesit washers, the F08 error can mean a problem with the heater relay. If the error shows up at the beginning of the wash cycle, you should look at this relay and the heater. Also check the pressure switch and wiring. If the error occurs near the spin and drain cycle, it can mean a problem with the motor/motor brushes. (If you hear a grating sound, then the motor is the likely suspect.) Sometimes, moving the washer out will identify this problem. If the brushes were sparking, there may be carbon black deposits underneath the washer. In that case, replace the brushes.

If you add a comment with the model number, I may be able to provide additional assistance with finding the appropriate parts. I hope this helps. If your washer is under warranty, you should contact the manufacturer.

My bosch classixx 1000 washing machine is not spinning at the end of the wash cycle, and when set to spin it does not spin, what can i do?

Remove belt, unscrew 2 bolts that hold the motor, unplug the motor connector, lever the motor back with a screwdriver. Check the motor brushes, if they are any shorter than 1 cm replace brushes.

I have a bosch maxx 1000 (wfl2000au/30) machine will not spin. pupm impeller was jammed by a bobby pin. i removed the bobby pin. when machine is on spin cycle only the pump opperates. does not spin at all....

If there is no water in washer, and it will not spin, I suggest you remove the motor, and check the brushes.
If they are less than 3 or 4mm long, they need replacing.
Hope this helps.
