Hi,
a 6ya Repairman can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: error on Brother Innovis 4000d sewing machine

You probably need to take it in for service. Thread guide pulse motor (TG-PM) is jammed with thread. There is a new shield that that can install to keep this from happening again.
You can gently try to move it with the machine on and see if that works, it is the little shuttle that goes up and down on the front of the machine, it is probably stuck where you can see it.
good luck!

SOURCE: How to get embroidery pictures

The documentation for the Brother Innov-is 4000 is here: http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/us/us/en/model_top/HomeSewingMachine/hf_inov4000deus.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=hf_inov4000deus .

Is this your brand and model number? If you have a different model, look for ports for either a memory card (SD, MMC, etc - used for digital cameras) or a rectangular USB device port (for a flash drive). Then transfer your design to the compatible media to get it on the machine. See the sites listed below for compatible media - some flash drives may not be supported.

If your machine does not have any device ports, it was probably sold as a sewing machine and not an embroidery machine. Thus you won't be able to add a design.

For a list of older Brother machines and their features, see: http://www.brother-usa.com/HomeSewing/retiredmodels/retiredmodels.aspx .

For current machines: http://www.brother-usa.com/HomeSewing/Products.aspx .

If you have another brand, please let me know. I may be able to find your documentation.

(I spent part of December tagging along while mom researched a new sewing machine. A quick glance at the side of the machine indicated the custom stitch options for all of the brands.)

Embroidery arm does not work

Sounds like the embroidery arm belt stop is out of adjustment. Unless you're pretty handy, take the machine and arm to a professional. If you're going to tackle it yourself, get a service manual for the machine.

This can happen, click back to tools option check whether hoops selection is correct. If this is not the problem, off your machine then put on again. If message remain pull out the embroidery carriage & push in again. Hope it can work.
In jam situation, just exit from your embroidery option, fix the jam by moving the embroidery carriage, work on a different design and see if it work. Sometime a design may not work fully.

My Husqvarna designer SE embroidery unit keeps giving an error message "install hoop correctly". I've checked everything but can't get around the message. can anybody help ,?

You have probably got the machine set to use a different size hoop. Click on the hoop icon and change it to the size you are using. Hope this helps you.

My Singer Futura CE-250 Continues to give me an "Internal Error" message

You need a technician for this type of problem.
Electronic machines have built-in 'traps' that not only indicate when an untrained person has opened up a machine (thus voiding any warranty) but that may also interrupt circuitry that may keep the machine from working once the electronic part is reconnected.

Cant get rid of message

I think that you need to have an authorized Husqvarna Viking repair center look at your machine.

The only thing that I can think of that you can do is place your left hand on the embroidery arm that moves left and right. Put your thumb into the opening where the hoop holder comes out and lift the cover slightly. I have seen the cover get pushed down too far so that the sensor inside is not able to move when the hoop is removed so the machine thinks it is still there. Look at the end of this opening in the arm that is closest to your stomach to see if it looks as if the cover is pushed down too far.

Beyond that, several things could be causing this problem, only one or two being serious. Most are simple.

On 955E embroidery unit, the large black gear snapped

Welcome to FixYa. Hi - Viking has online tutorials for several of the 955E features, including embroidery.
Here is a link to the 955E tutorials. If the link isn't active, paste it into your brower window.

http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us/6616_393.htm

As mentioned in the next paragraph, you can order a manual from your Viking dealer if you don't have yours. The Viking manuals aren't very expensive, and it is well worth having. You'll find detailed instructions for inserting and calibrating the embroidery arm, which happens everytime you insert the emb arm. See the Hints and Tips paragraph below.
If your machine is broken, the 955E Parts manual lists each part number in the machine, and the 955E Service Manual should provide instructions for repair. But because the 955E is not discontinued (as far as I know), the dealer might not be willing to sell you those manuals or order the parts you need. eBay often has Parts and Service manuals for sale for current model Viking machines, or you might be able to find them for sale on other web sites. Keep in mind that if your machine is still under warrantly, you risk voiding the warranty if you attempt to remove the covers and perform a "non-consumer" repair.
Some general hints and tips for inserting and removeing your embroiodery arm and navigating the Viking web site:
  • Always turn your machine off when you attach or remove your embroidery arm or when you insert or remove an embroidery design card.
  • When you insert your embroidery arm, insert an embroidery design card. When you turn your machine back on, you should see a message on the info screen that says something like "embroidery arm will move". Press OK, and the embroidery arm will calibrate.
  • After the embroidery arm has calibrated, place your hoop on the embroidery arm.
  • Look at each end of your embroidery arm - you will find a connector that must slip into a corresponding connector on the embroidery machine. This connector slides into a corresponding connector on the machine. The connector on the machine has a cover that slides open and closed. If it is closed, it you might not spot it right away. You must open this slot when you attach the embroidery arm - slide the embroidery arm straight back (not at an angle), so the embroidery arm connects to the machine securely. Although you might need to nudge the embroidery arm in place, do not force it!

Trouble with Viking 955E Embroidery Unit and Control Panel

Welcome to FixYa. Hi - Viking has online tutorials for several of the 955E features, including embroidery.
Here is a link to the 955E tutorials:
http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us/6616_393.htm

Some general hints and tips:
  • Always turn your machine off when you attach or remove your embroidery arm or when you  insert or remove an embroidery design card.
  • When you insert your embroidery arm, insert an embroidery design card. When you turn your machine back on, you should see a message on the info screen that says something like "embroidery arm will move". Press OK, and the embroidery arm will calibrate.

The Viking site also has projects for the 955E that will help you learn to use some of the features - you can probably sew most or all of the free projects on the site, but projects for the 955E incorporate features on your machine that might be available on others. And look for the free designs!
Hope this helps get you started.  If you and other readers have a minute to rate this information (good or bad, or indifferent), your rating will help me determine if I understood your question and if my answer is helpful.
A few more recommendations...You can order a manual for your machine from any Viking dealer and probably online, and I recommend that you do. Your machine has some very cool sewing and embroidery features. I sold Vikings, so I can answer specific questions about many individual features, but Viking manuals are not expensive and can help you save time and avoid irritating problems.

If you have more questions, please comment and I will do my best to help you further. I am pleased to answer general questions about embroidery, if you want hints and tips or run into problems.

Cheers, Ginny

Embroidery unit

Do you have a hoop already on when you first re-calibrate the embroidery arm? You need the embroidery arm ONLY when you first turn on. Don't put the hoop on until you are ready to start embroidering. If this is not the problem, try re-loading the machine operating system. If you did not save your floppy or USB file, go to Husqvarna website and download the latest one, and re-load it. (Be sure to select the correct file for your particular machine i.e. floppy or USB.)

Babylock Ellure Embroidery Unit Malfunction

You need to make sure that the embroidery arm is able to move freely be sure that it has no obstructions like a wall behind your sewing table or fabric that may be stacked nearby. If all is clear you probably have thread wrapped somewhere inside the embroidery unit it only take a little bit to jam up the works. You can try to take off the cover by flipping the unit over and removing the screws to the embroidery arm. I would take it to the shop where you bought it they should be able to help you for free if it is new. If you have the original packaging you can send the machine to Steve's at www.stevessewandvac.com just send them an email they can help.

Turn off the machine, remove the carriage, check that nothing is hitting against the arm and try again.
