Question about Delta 2457-SS Orleans Two Handle Kitchen Faucet with Matching Side Spray Br...

1 Answer

Repair Needing the plastic aerator with screen that inserts into the faucet head. All I find is the part # RP43516SS. Does this part include what I need? Any detail drawing verifying this would be re-assuring too!

How do i put aerator back in ?

the aerator has a few components the screen always goes in the aerator housing first i cant tell you the sequence after that there is usually some type of plastic disc then a rubber neopreme ring once you have that gently take the aerator assembly ( looks like a large wedding band) and slowly marry it to the faucet spout and turn clockwise slowly ( DO NOT CROSS THREAD) tighten with hand turn water on if it works ok then put paper towel around aerator ring u put on take vice grip or channel lock pliars and tighten more good luck...if assembly not right rearrange the pieces the screen is always the thing that goes in first

leave the screen out something is restricting the flow at the screen or take guts out of aerator and keep screen some have flow restrictors that may get clogged usually a plastic disk

I have a brand new moen muirfield high arc faucet with low pressure at spout but good pressure at side spray what can i do to get better pressure at spout

clevine336-

The design of a hand sprayer is meant to provide a higher pressure spray (the smaller outlet size means greater velocity in the water coming out of the sprayer head). That said, there could be something constricting the water flow in your faucet. If you unscrew the aerator on the end of the faucet do you get better pressure? Is the screen in the aerator clogged with sediment or mineral deposits? If this is the case you may have water requiring periodic cleaning of the aerator.

Hope this helps.

New moen kitchen single handle. Worked for one full day. Now no water pressure.

Unthread end of faucet (aerator) where the water comes out into sink, under the aerator is a screen & a plastic valve. It has sediment & rust which will disrupt the flow & pressure.Careful not to flush it down the drain. Tip upside down, while holding it together with finger. Flush it under the faucet. It is not uncommon to get plugged up initialy because of the new installation.

Remove water saver device from Blanco Grace kitchen faucet

Remove the aerator at the end of the spout. It will unscrew and once off it will have a dime sized restricter in it that can be removed this restrict's the water down to about 1.6 gpm to save water.
It will either be plastic or metal and about the size of a dime with a small holw in it to let water pass by maybe 1/8" hole just remove it and put aerator back together.

Clean aerator screen out before you put it back together.

http://www.plumbersurplus.com/pdf/07163.pdf This link has a breakdown of parts. Look at parts 8b-10 for aerator breakdown.
