Saw will fire then die in 10 sec.

The fuel is not going through as it is supposed to. Clean all fuel lines . Make sure you check the fuel filter at the tank that it is not clogged.
blow into the hose to make sure it is open . Do the same with the filter.
If you find any leaks , replace the hose. To check for leaks . Pinch the hose on one side and blow through it.

My chainsaw won't run without full choke on and

Fuel starvation, start by replacing the fuel filter in the tank, check the fuel hoses for leaks up to the carb.

My chainsaw will start ok but it will not run properly

If this is a older saw I would suspect the fuel line. A common problem, especially with ethanol fuel. The hoses get hard and brittleand a small crack, even if it does not leak fuel, could suck in air. If this is not the case you should have a low and high adjustment on the carb.

No gas in carb husqvarna 141 chainsaw

Fuel gets to the carb via the fuel filter in the tank, the fuel hose up to the carb, and the impulse from the engine making the pump diaphram in the carb pulse and pump fuel, so start by replacing the fuel filter in the fuel tank, then check the fuel hose for signs of leaks, the impulse from the engine is fed through a pipe in the carb support block, you will need to remove the carb and block to inspect this, there is also a filter within the carb itself, this is sited under the pump housing of the carb ( alloy cover held with a single screw )

Chainsaw will fire up but stall immediatly as if starved of fuel

Fuel starvation always starts at the fuel filter in the tank, replace the filter and try again, also check the fuel hoses for cracks, splits and leaks.

My rancher, reliable for many years, has developed the problem of starting but not continuing under acceleration via the hand trigger; it just cuts out.

This sounds like fuel starvation, start by replacing the fuel filter in the tank, check the fuel hose up to the carb for signs of leaking or cracks.

My poulan saw will only run for 30 seconds and then quits. It ran for about 30 minutes before developing this problem. Plug is dry with tan color. Air filter is clean.

Try a few simple things first, clean the air filter, remove and replace the filter inside the fuel tank on the end of the fuel hose, check the fuel hose up to the carb for cracks and leaks, fit a new spark plug.

My Poulan 18in 40 cc WildThing ChainSaw Won't Start.

Start with basic tests, drain the fuel tank and fill with fresh fuel oil mix, remove and reolace the fuel filter on the edn of the fuel hose, check the fuel hose up to the carb for leaks, remove the spark plug, rest it on the side of the cylinder ( away from the plug hole ) cramk the engine and check if you have a spark.

My Stihl MS-180be chainsaw is leaking a small amount of gas when full. What could be the problem? Is is the fuel line where it goes into the tank? The saw is working ok?

This saw has a fuel tank vent that could be leaking a small amount of fuel, or the fuel line coming out of the tank could be leaking. Fuel line replacement isn't complicated, you could try installing a new one. If it's the vent, odds are it's not enough to cause alarm........unless the vent line is cracked. In that event, you should replace the vent hose. Again, not a complicated repair.
