SOURCE: Exploding air hose

Yep that's a problem! You should be able to purchase good quality air hose from any good hardware or tool store. I find the coil hoses to be more of a pain than they are worth (always tangling up on itself). I use straight hose now of high quality.

Looking for manuals for husky air compressor model FP204500AV

The manual and parts breakdown for your compressor can be found at: http://www.chpower.com/IMAGES/pdfs/manual02/608800_1102.pdf

If that doesn't work look for it on the Campbell-Hausfeld homepage at http://www.chpower.com/ under Service and Support. They have been working on the site so some links are not working correctly.

Your compressor is an oil-less type that has very little for you to do as far as service. Mostly you just have to keep it clean and occasionally drain the water from the tank. The frequency of that is dependent on where you are (humidity levels in your area) and how ofter you use it.

1st time ever using a compressor. Need to disconnect the yellow hose from machine to move. I've pushed down on the bronze ring with texture, and then it's loose but not out. Don't want to...

It sounds like you are trying to disconnect a quick-connect fitting. Don't loosen the hex. No tools required. Just pull back a bit harder on the outer brass ring then pull out the male end of the fitting. You might have to push it, then pull it. A word of caution- if the male end is on a hose that has air pressure in it, it's going to very rapidly escape from the hose. If you aren't prepared for that it will startle you and you could hurt yourself. Just hold on to it securely and don't put your face too close. Good luck, Al K

My 2004 Chevy SSR's air conditioner starts clicking from inside the dash when turned on. What and how can I repair the problem?

There is a tiny 4 millimeter black plastic vacuum line that runs from (looking under the hood), just behind your air conditioner compressor on the top, right of center to the left, under the breather hose to the intake and on over to the left to the air conditioner evaporator body just behind your windshield washer and antifreeze reservoirs. This hose bakes and cracks with time. This vacuum line is easy to find. It is the only one like it under the hood. They always crack close to the air intake hose between the air filter and the intake. I have broken the split in 2 and spliced them with a one inch piece of weedeater fuel hose. After a few years, it splits open in other places. I then got some 6 millimeter air line plastic tubing, cut the 4 millimeter hose about 3 inches from the connector at each end, and then plugged the ends into the larger tubing and sealed them with RTV silicone.

By the way, there is a plastic, round vacuum canaster under the windshield washer fluid reservoir. The hose to that deteriorates also.

Husky 30 gallon 5.5hp peek 1.7hp running.......Continues to run but only builds up to 25lbs of pressure .....I have a black plastic hose that is attachedf to the tank by the copper intake hose that is...

The black hose may be where the air is supposed to come out, but you may simply be missing the part that would block that air flow until you attach it to, say, your valve stem on your car tire, or the hose end has been cut off. Is this black hose open at the end? What happens if you plug this hose up and run the compressor awhile (if you test this, point the hose AWAY from anything important. If the plug flies out it could do some serious damage!). Does the compressor build more pressure and eventually stop running if your plug holds? The compressor is continually running because clearly the air is escaping constantly; pressure is not being allowed to build up. (Cut the end off of a manual bicycle pump and pump awhile on it; you'll see where I'm going with this). Without being there, this is all I can offer. I think you just need a proper hose and attachment. Good luck!

My belt broke from my air compressor and i dont have any way to find the size of my old belt. i have a wl 650001aj compressor. can yall help me find a belt number so i can go to a automanufator to find...

The belt for your compressor is available in a kit from www.chpower.com the part number of the kit is WL015303SJ

Here is a picture of the kit, http://www.mastertoolrepair.com/images/WL015303SJ_medium.jpg

The reason the belt is sold in a kit form is because the belt will fail when the in-tank check valve fails or begins to leak pressure back into compressor. I do not believe that the belt is sold thru automotive supplier. It is too small. Here is the number stamped on the belt BT012100AV, it has 8 ribs and is about 15 inch length. Good luck

Hose from compressor to air tank

Campbell hausfeld parts are available at www.chpower.com, however, you can use standard parts like copper tube or rubber pressure hose available at Lowes lumber or True Value Hardware. Check for cause of failure of the airline, could be from vibration due to loose motor mount or faulty check valve at tank causing back pressure. Enjoy

Air compressor head gasket diagram

Campbell hausfeld has all their manuals on line at www.chpower.com / you can enter the model # of the whole unit or just the # of the pump. Also you can enter just a partial number example wl650 for a list of models is that range. Use caution when installing gaskets for chpower oiless pumps. Some of their gaskets are very brittle. After installing parts, turn pump by hand to make sure all parts are in their proper place and that there is suction. Enjoy
