Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I'm going to guess at what kind of copier you have..... Is it a Canon ??? If so, the code means that there is some thing dragging the speed of the main drive motor or the fixing unit. I'm not sure what model of copier you have, so you may have a web that has wrapped it self around the upper fixing roller or a claw has dug into the lower fixing roller or it could be worn or locked up ball bearing in the fixing unit. The code can not be rest till the problem is fixed. I would start turning the fuser & if it will not turn, that is where your problem is... Be carefull if you start touching the fuser... IT GETS VERY, VERY HOT..... Good Luck

SOURCE: iam getting error code E010,E014
A E010 & E014 have to do with the main motor drive. You may have a drum blade that has flipped or it could be that the center screw that locks the drum to the drum shaft is loose ( just tighting screw- you can also get blank copies as well. The E014 deals with the fixing unit, you have to make sure it is spinnig freely. It could be that the lower pick off claws have dug in to the lower fixing roller, or the ball bears are siezed or the web is rapped around the upper fixing roller or a bushing is broken or it may be to much pressure is on the UFR from the web... Just a few ideas.. Good Luck

If I remember correctly..... A E014 mean that the main drive is not spining freely. Most of the time the fuser unit is not turning smoothly. Have you tried to spin the fuser unit? If so is it smooh or tight? Have you looked in the fuser to see if the web is wraped around the upper fuser roller? Or is the lower fusing roller cut? If that all looks OK > it is the fuser drive gears (on the front of the fuser) are locked up... You may have to take the two white gears off and clean & lubract / oil the shafts.... Good Luck > there is not a way to reset the code until it is fixed
