SOURCE: Shadowing on right side of TV

i had the same problem. it was the small mirriors (light tunnel)only one or two of the four mirriors have the tape. mine only had one taped. one of the other ones came loose blocking the light passing thru the tunnel on that side. you can fix this yourself (if like mine you are out of warranty) but it does involve taking some of it apart to get to the tunnel. then remove it and glue or epoxy it in place. mine has lasted for two months so far.you can go to www.avsforum.com and put in samsung shadow on screen it discribes the repair(alot of pages, it happens alot)

SOURCE: tv has sound but picture is black

good day.
The crt circuit of the unit might be loose or the the parts inside the board is loose. Have it hecked by a technician first. Minor parts inside might caused the problem.

Response is highly appreciated.

SOURCE: Shadow down right side of screen on a toshiba 44NHM84 44" DLP television

shadows at the bottom of the screen sound like moisture that was "wicked up" between the screen layers and dryed out leaving a stain. DO NOT get these screens wet, use nothing but a damp soft cloth; just a few drops of water running down the screen can cause a fairly large stain. Some people have suggested that they may be professionally cleaned, but the risk of damage is too great on the user level.

4 year old vizio 42 inch tv lcd. While watching tv, the screen started dimming. There is a 4 inch shadow all along left side of the screen and the 1 inch line shadow going down the middle of the screen.

Maybe a power supply or related issue but at 4 years of age the set has reached its life span----parts will be hard or impossible to find.

If you got four years I would retire it and recycle it and then replace it.

I have a Samsung LN-T4661FX/XXA 46'' LCD HDTV. It has an issue where there is a dark gray-ish shadow over the left 1/3 of the screen. This ''shadow'' starts almost exactly at the top center and goes down...

I also have the same problem but when i called a samsung tech they told me it was the board. They pulled the cables that you were talking about out and it didn't do anything. apprently he said there is something wrong with the panel cause if you try it, u can bend the panel and it will make it better for a while. But if you want to fix it, it's 1200 just for the panel which is bull and samsung won't fix it if you are out of warranty.

I have the same problem and was told by a technician that I need to replace the light engine. Probably around $ 700.00.
