Question about Garden
Hello, My LX188 lawn tractor moves slower and slower as the engine warms up to the point where it cannot even go up a slight hill. I pumped the transmission fluid out and replaced but did not solve the problem. I made adjustments to the linkage with no results. Any suggestions?
You need a new belt cause the old one is stretched out

SOURCE: Craftsman lawn tractor mower,
The belt is probably slipping because it is not tight enough. look by the belt, inside there is a little spring, you may half to tighten it.

You may have a pulley loose, but it may be time for some new belts.
The model number you gave was incomplete. But I was able to look at an IPL for that series of mowers and there is not fluid to add, it has gease in the transmission.

Personally my best advice is to take it back to the tech. Why? Because they should stand behind it if they just installed it and two...it may void the warranty if you touch it
