How do you fix a Moen Towel Bar when the mounting system has come apart from the wall?

There are larger screw-type anchors available at a hardware store. If the hole is a half inch, you can possibly use an expanding wing type "molly" anchor. it's hard to assemble the screws through the bracket, then put on the butterfly, and shove the folded butterfly into the hole, but it's doable.

I'm not sure how to put the string swing ukulele hanger inthe wall!!

It should come with mounting hardware, including screws and anchors. You'll need to:

1. Locate a stud in the wall.
2. Position the hanger where you want it.
3. Mark where the screw holes are.
4. Using a 1/8 in. drill bit, drill pilot holes on the marks you just made.
5. Put the hanger back up to the holes, and insert the screws.

If you have to use wall anchors, these should go in after drilling the pilot holes, but before screwing down the hanger.

If you need any clarification, let me know!

Hope that helps!

How are you supposed to use the plastic piece (for walls with no studs) if you want to screw the nail into a wall that has no studs?

hope you dont plan on hanging anything heavy on this. get a drill bit and drill a hole smaller than the anchor you are using, tap the anchor into the sheetrock until its flush, drill the hole at least an 1/8 inch smaller than the anchor so it will be tight enough to keep the anchor from spinning when you insert the screw

How does the YB2808 holder detach from the wall? ......the above answer wasn't an answer....I need to know how to "unsnap" the thing....it IS NOT held on with typical allen screw, how does one...

The anchor is put into the wall in a pilot hole, a mounting post is inserted into the wall anchor, Afterwards the mounting post is pressed firmly until it clicks to stay in the mounting post with the handle down. The locking tab on the mounting post is faced down to fit into the specific area to stay put.

  • If this was over tightened it will be difficult to get off.
  • Try moving the handle from side to side, while pulling the unit off.
  • If all else fails, put tape around the handle, then slide a flat head screw driver under neath, and lift up. the anchor bolt will now want to come out but it can be cut off. Push it back in. Repair the hole and try again if you are moving it anyway.

I installed a Moen Sage toilet paper holder. The right cover that attaches to the wall hardware via a small screw is loose and no amount of tightening corrects the problem. What am I doing wrong?

It is likely that the the mounting post on the wall has pulled loose.

You will need to remove the paper holder and inspect themounting posts; loosen the set screws in the base of the posts to do this.

Try tightening the screws holding the mounting posts to the wall. If the screws are unable to hold tight you will need to replace the wall anchors if they have been used.

Remove the mounting posts and the wall anchors and replace with new wall anchor, preferably a toggle anchor designed for sheetrock if possible.

With the wall anchors in place attach the mounting posts and install the paper holder; tightening the set screws in at the base of the posts.

I PUT UP A CURVED CURTAIN ROD. IT KEEP CUMMING OFF THE WALL

These rods need a little more support than a standard rod because of their shape. I'm assuming you used a plastic wall anchor in the gyproc or plaster. If so get rid of it and use a butterfly style anchor. The butterfly provides superior support and will allow to tighten the screws more tightly than with the plastic wall anchor. Good luck with your project and let me know if I can be of any further help.

I have a wall thermostat and it is hanging by the wires. How do I secure it better?

There should be some holes in the thermostat base for screws to go through. If the holes in the wall are wallowed out get some wall anchor inserts and put them in the holes and run the screws into them.

How to anchor garage cabinet to wall. Cabinet will be off the floor and large (4' X8'). Will finding the wall studs and anchoring with screws be enough ?

I would add 2x4 angle bracing from under the cabinet to the wall, if you plan to put any weight into the cabinets.
