SOURCE: heater not working

The problem is probably the blower motor resistor. I'm not sure where yours is located exactly. They can be on the firewall under the hood or some are near the blower motor under the dash.

SOURCE: front blower fan for 2004 dodge caravan stopped

I would venture to say that it sure sounds like you are loosing the blower motor. Brushes wear and it makes it draw more amperage, this is why changing the resistor worked short term only. Not exactly what you want to hear but thats what does happen to them.

The problem is not with the lamp. This TV (I have one) has 3 blowers internally that keep everything cool. What happens over time, regardless of how clean you keep your house, they get clogged and stop. What you are seeing is that the system cannot see one or more of the fans spinning. Yes, they detect whether the fans is spinning.

You'll need the Service Manual or Repair Manual to take the TV apart. This is non-trivial. It took me 2 days to take it apart and a day to put it back together. I used another day to clean and the blowers and air ducts within the TV. I had one stopped blower, the other two were pretty dirty. I was able to fix it without buying anything. The stopped blower has to be disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and seems to be holding (knock on wood).

I seem to recall I had to pay for the service manual. Here's one link you can try. You can also do some other searches to see if you can find one for free http://www.nodevice.com/manual/sonymans/manual3410pdf/get4927.html

HIGH RESISTANCE IN THE BLOWER MOTOR CAN CAUSE YOUR PROBLEM, OR A BAD RESISTOR.
THERE IS NO REAL GOOD WAY TO CHECK THE RESISTANCE OF THE BLOWER MOTOR.

Fan assisted oven not working

If the fan is still working then it is the element that has gone. This is easily replaced as you only need to remove the back panel and swap the the element.
