SOURCE: no pressure

Check the Water supply, make sure there is plenty of pressure comming from the hose hookup. Use 3/4" dia. hose to the pressure washer. Check the Inlet Screen on unit to make sure it is not clogged. Hoses are free of kinks. I hope that the information given is helpful, please rate on its helpfulness. Good Luck and have a great day. Jeff

If you no longer have High Pressure coming out while machine is running, it's a pump issue.

SOURCE: troy bilt pressure washer 2550

There is a valve installed to release water out of the system if water temp. rises to a level that may damage the pump. Water temp will rise when motor is running and you are not spraying water. This part is called a thermal valve. It can begin to leak water if worn out or debris under seat, however may not effect a lower pressure at the wand unless it leaks more water when you are spraying than when in bypass. You can see various thermal valves by searching on ebay with the key words :
"pressure washer thermal valve". Pressure is created at the tip of the wand. If the nozzle at the wand is worn or too large for the system, pressure will be reduced. You can check if the tip is correct by using a different tip that came with your system or using new of correct gpm as noted on the specs. of your system. Good luck

Hoover troubleshooting

Hi Nita! There are a few things that can reduce the suction of the cleaner. Please try these steps below.

1. Remove the clean water tank. Recline the handle and let the cleaner lay flat.
2. Remove the dirty water tank. Check that the grey cap is on and tightened on the tank.
3. Clean the filter screen located on the cleaner base.
4. Remove the nozzle. Clean any hair or debris from nozzle.
5. Clean the second filter screen behind the nozzle on the cleaner.
6. Assemble the nozzle back to the cleaner.

Give it a try! Your suction should be restored. Hope this was helpful!

Karcher paatio cleaner attachment cleaning in suiggly lines

Squiggly lines are sign of nozzles being partially clogged. Try using a needle to clear nozzles. You will need to remove the nozzles to do this. When re-installing the nozzles make sure they are in line with the pressure bar.

My new petrol pressure washer i think has an air lock the lance isnt giving full pressure , sometimes really bad , have tried all sorts of things , taken the hose off and started it up , some times full...

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly
Your lance nozzle most likely has a little bit of debris in it. Remove the nozzle and clean behind the orifice hole of the nozzle. Since you said the rotary cleaner works fine this is about the only thing that can be causing the problem unless there is a significant blockage in the lance plumbing. If this does NOT correct the problem... please respond your make and model number because there are other steps than can be performed to troubleshoot.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

How do i use the patio & deck cleaner on the karcher k5.68MD, when i add the liquid, what do i need to do for it to be pump up into the hose.

The nozzle on the end of the wand either twists or pulls out to get you into soap mode, the liquid you have in the tank come out real slow, it does not come out with the high speed nozzle. The idea is to soak the job with detergent, then blast it off with the high pressure water. Hope this helps.
