I would like to add that if you have hard water increase the amount of borax. I also like to use Zote rather than Fels Naptha bar soap.... you can also use Ivory bath soap (2 bars) in place of the fels naptha or zote.

Dilute. For soups, stews, sauces or anything that can be diluted, try adding a touch of water, stock, tomato sauce or juice. This will give thesalt more volume, thus spreading it out and making the overall dish lesssalty.Jul 24, 2012

Are homemade and boxed or powder broths basically the same?

I don't use powder broths at all because they always taste artificial and usually have some bad processed ingredients in them. Boxed broths can be OK as long as they are used as an ingredient in a dish as opposed to being the dish itself i.e. it's ok to use boxed broth in risotto but don't use it as the basis for chicken soup.

I have a frontload he washer. My question is, will using a regular laundry detergent instead of he laundry detergent cause problems with the washer.

top load detergent will suds a lot and detergents made for from load washers wont suds very much at all, suds ina front loader will cause it to not spin or drain very well while i know it is more expensive you should always use detergents with the HE logo on the package

My GE Profile washing machine leaves soap suds in the bottom and on the clothes. I use Cheer liquid detergent. My husband says it is because of placing too heavy of items, such as towels, in the machine....

Use ONLY the recommended amount of detergent per the label on the detergent.
Pour detergent in the tub first then start the water, then add the laundry.
Do not overload the machine.
Use a bathroom scale to weigh 12-15 pounds of laundry and no more.
Big tubs invite more laundry.
Don't be fooled by a big tub.

I make homemade liquid laundry saop and when I use

you NEED to buy real washing soap from a store. I recommend Tide because you may be mixing wrong ingredients or not adding something. If buying new/real soap doesnt work i would go to a sears or email sears at their website and tell them.

Laundry Detergent

this usually depends on the type and brand of detergent you use. for example if you use standard detergent and it takes 1 cup, then you use concentrated detergent and it takes 1/2 cup. you have to check the detergent container for proper amount to use. for most detergents it is around 3/4 to 1 cup of detergent.
Ps. dont forget to rate my answer please. Thanks.

Laundry detergent

Why do you want to use a special detergent??? Tide works fine! You just need to use about 1/4-1/2 what is used in the American machines. Now if you really want some exceptional laundry detergent like we use in Europe, buy Persil (google it).
