Chris is correct, you can put in 2 x 2GB's for a total of 4GB's. If you have a 64 bit OS you can add more, 2 x 4GB's for a total of 8GB's. BUT your increase in speed will be limited to the T4200 Processor, 5400 SATA HDD. Mobo, etc. I , like Chris would suggest 2 x 2GB's, a total of 4GB's. see:https://www.google.com/search?q=DDR3+SDR...

You specs say a Max of 4GB's. If you add more your machine will not use it efficiently, you would be , in theory, be wasting money.

Do you have 32 or 64bit OS? If 32bit you can only use 3.80 GB's + or -, if you have 64bit you can add more. You have 4GB's now? Your Specs say you have Win 7 64bit, is that correct? Take a look at this for a 8 GB upgrade: http://www.google.com/#hl=en&tbm=shop&q=8GB+DDR3+dual-channel+1066MHz+laptop+memory&spell=1&sa=X&ei=iNiIUZf_FILM9ASjpoDYDg&ved=0CE8QBSgA&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&fp=858c406a9caa97d8&biw=1280&bih=715

How to replace the DC Power jack of my acer aspire 7735Z

Replacing a DC Power jack in any computer is no easy task. However, it can be done by any novice. First, get on ebay and see what jack you need. Search for you jack by entering Acer Aspire 7735z jack. Most of the new ones have the cable attached to the jack instead of the old fashion solder.

Next, Google this question and check out the YouTube videos regarding Acer DC Jack replacement. It will give you an idea as to what you need to do. You may want to take a video camera and record what steps you take when you take it apart so you can review how to put it back together. Also, get a sewing box or something so you can put the screws in a separate container for the order you removed them; ie: bottom screws; hard drive screws, DVD mount screw... etc..

You always have to start with the bottom and work your way to the top. You will have to remove the palm rest, keyboard, heat shields and any other piece of hardware to get to it.

My acer aspire 7735z turns on but won't boot up

Hello,

your hard disk maybe corrupt.

The operating system is in the hard drive, so if it won't boot, your OS might need to be repaired or reinstalled.

You will be needing OS CD to carry out the re installation

Good luck.

My aspire 7735z has a hdmi port on it and i tried to put my dvd player on it but no luck am i doind some wrong?

Unfortunately, that port is HDMI out not HDMI in. You can connect either the laptop or the DVD player to a TV with an HDMI port.

I hope this helps.
