Mine does this too. I think it has something to do with a self-cleaning cycle where the food chopper (miniature garbage disposal blade) runs to chop up debris. Mind runs this way every 30 washes or so (every 4-6 weeks), perhaps in response to water turbidity (soil sensing)

It sounds as if there is something in the bottom part of the dishwasher arm (it sprays the water around the bottom of the dishwasher). I would suggest that you take out the baskets and then remove and clean all of the parts that water comes out of as well as the bottom drain. If this works or does not, I would also suggest that you run an empty load using 1/4 cup vinegar. Hope this helps!

Ticking clock sound from kitchenaid refrigerator when compressor is running...unit is 2 years old...just started this 1 month ago. Something to be concerned about?

This can be the ticking from the AUTO DEFROST TIMER which normally is a silent unit. If dirt had gone into the timer then the stepper motor can work to produce the ticking.
All what is required if to observe the sound and get to identify the unit. Try to blow some air to the unit or there is no cause for Alarm if the fridge is working fine otherwise.

Maytag fridge stops cooling, then 1-2 days later restarts on own

The buzzing is typically gonna be the compressor trying to start and failing. Am I right in saying the fridge is at least 12 or more years old?

Maytag used to use a compressor made by Tecumseh and they had a problem with starting. They would buzz and sometimes start back up. Sometimes in a few tries or a few days or never. It would continue to re try every couple minutes and last 5-10 seconds.

I would verify if it is a Tecumseh or an Embraco compressor then make your decision.

A service tech should be able to figure this out pretty easily! Normally what I would do is if I go in and it is running then I would turn it off and back on right away. the fridge will go through its restart sequence and typically make its noises then. Hopefully you are not being charged every time they come out

Compressors are the most expensive repair! and on these I always replace the discharge tube since they tend to rot out from sitting in the drain pan.

Dead battery making a clicking sound

take the battery out of the veh and see if it will charge overnight on a charger, if not then the bat just ran its course I doubt it is 11 years old. Bats last anywhere from 3 to 5 years then they die if it does charge then your alternator needs to be replaced as it charges the battery when you drive, low voltage may cause the buzzing, tellin gyou there is a problem.

Hunting boots no no!

If you have one of those fubuloso wrinkle guard whirlpools, they will buzz and start back up on their own in the cool down portion of the cycle the idea being the 2nd timer will keep the clothes from wrinkling by buzzing and then coming to life for a few minutes. Then it waits 10 minutes and if you aint got the clothes out or opened the door then it will repeat.

Dishwasher starts then stops

My (KUDI01TJ)Dishwasher did the same thing.
I Pressed start, it acted like it was starting and then turned off.

FIX:
I started the rapid advance service diagnostic feature:
1.Close dishwasher door
2.press "Hi-Temp Wash"
3.press "Energy Saver Dry"
4.press "Hi-Temp Wash"
5.press "Energy Saver Dry"
This started the diagnostics and the dishwasher went through each cycle.
After this, my dishwasher worked fine.

I think the controller must have got in some wierd mode and unpluging the washer would not clear it out but running the
diagnostics cleared it.
Hope this works for you
