Failed to build pm error

When I am connecting the player to computer, it is not being detected by system. While checking about updating firmware, it showing error of 'Failed to build PM' at end of the process. Please help.

For Windows XP users: verify the following operating system requirements are met.- Windows XP SP2 or higher- Windows Media Player 10 or higher
Download and install the latest Windows Media Player if it's not installed.
For Windows Vista users: If the player is seen in My Computer when using MTP mode, but not showing in Windows Media Player.- Download the hotfix from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939211.- Run the hotfix.
NOTE: If you are trying to connect to a Computer at work that is part of a network, there may be user right restrictions that are set to disable access to new hardware or stop any program installations. You may need to check with your IT administrator to see if this is causing the problem.
Next:-- Refresh the drivers. Connect the MP3 player to the PC. The screen on your player should turn on, show 'Connected' and indicate the battery is charging or full. - If the player does not turn on try other USB ports or on another computer if one is readily available. Ensure you are connecting directly to the computer USB port and not to a USB hub.NOTE: - If there is nothing showing on the screen and the player does show up as a storage device in an explorer window, then the screen is just not working. If you receive the error "USB Device Not Recognized" on the computer, the player is most likely failed.
Next - Check under Device Manager1. Right-click My Computer, and select Manage. 2. Click Device Manager on the left pane.
NOTE: Most MP3 Players can connect to your computer in MSC or MTP mode. There are exceptions which only use MTP mode. MTP mode is the recommended and default method for some MP3 players. Some players will show up on Device Manager's right pane as:1. USB Mass Storage device (if the player is set to MSC)2. Portable Device (if the player is set to MTP mode)
If there is a yellow exclamation point (!) or question mark (?) beside the device, refresh the drivers. To refresh the drivers1. Right-click the error mark, select Uninstall.2. On the top menu, click Action then select Scan for hardware changes.
NOTE: If a device with yellow exclamation point (!) continually appears and disappears, then the player is most likely failed.
Next: - Connect using MSC mode Connecting in MSC mode will help determine if there is a problem with MTP mode or with the Auto Detect mode feature of the player.
The USB Mode setting can be enabled on some players after updating to the latest firmware. If the player is detected in MSC mode but not when set to MTP mode, try to update or reinstall the firmware.

System files are missing


How to recover system files on H10?1.4_4_2012_7_54_27_am.jpg2. LCD on H10 displays "USB Connected" and then double click "My computer".
3. Click right mouse on "H10" drive and select "Properties"

8. Open iriverplus and transfer music.

If your device was detecting by USB cable. Then update the firmware for this device:
1. Please open iriverplus3 and connect your device with USB cable.
2. After connecting your device, please follow the steps below to upgrade New Firmware
** Tools -> Portable Device -> Firmware Upgrade **
3. After upgrading the New Firmware, please check the firmware version before playing device.
** Setting -> Advanced -> System information **

COBY MP3, MP610-4G, NOT WORKING. SCREEN READS, "FILE SYS ERR"


Updating the firmware should be done for this type of error: For PDF instruction you could download this by doing below: 1. Go to http://cobyusa.com 2. In the right side of the page type MP610 and hit Enter 3. Click MP610 Firmware Update for File Sys Error 4.Unzip file and read the procedure
If you have no time to download pls perform the ff: File Sys Error This is a system firmware update. This update will fix the "File Sys Error" message and restore the MP3 player back to the factory settings. The firmware update file can be downloaded at www.cobyusa.com. Important This procedure will delete all contents on the MP3 player. Please make sure that you back up all your documents before proceeding with the firmware update. To backup all contents on the MP3 player, simply connect the MP3 player to your computer. The MP3 player will be listed under "MY Computer "as a removable disk. Double-Click on the removable disk and copy and paste all the folders/files on your desktop.
Firmware Update Procedure Do not have any USB Devices connected to the computer including the mp3 player. - Download the firmware file from our web site. The file will automatically run itself once it is done downloading. The below screen will appear. Do the Following: 1- Connect the MP3 player to your computer. It will show up in the number one box in the firmware update software.The windows explorer bar will also pop up when you connect the mp3 player to the computer. Sansa 260 R load main image failed message


Hello,

The Sansa e260 Rhapsody could be recovered by resetting the player.
How to reset the player :
1. Player switched on.
2. Press and hold the power button for approximately 30 seconds.
3. Put the player back on.


When the fault is not resolved a firmware update / reinstallation needs to be made. There are 2 steps needed for getting new firmware on the player.

Step 1: switching the player into recovery mode / MSC mode

1. Turn off the player.
2. Slide the Hold/Lock switch on top of the player so an orange color is showing.
3. Press and hold the REC button and connect the device to the computer.
4. A message will appear on the device display screen confirming the connection and a memory partition will be viewable in My Computer.
5. Release the REC button.
Step 2: Update the firmware ( updating firmware always in MSC mode, see Step 1 )

If this happened after updating your firmware, the Sansa FAQ from here http://www.sansa.com/support/sansa_e200/faqs says try this -

03. "Load image failed" appears after updating e200 firmware Applies to the following Operating Systems:
  1. Windows XP, Vista
This error may be caused by the firmware failing to load or the file system is corrupted.
STEP 1 – Reset the player
  1. Press and hold the Power button for approximately 30 seconds.
  2. Turn the player back on.
If the error persists, proceed to steps 2 and 3.
STEP 2 – Connect the player in Recovery Mode
  1. Turn off the player.
  2. Slide the Hold/Lock switch on top of the player so an orange color is showing.
  3. Press and hold the REC button and connect the device to the computer.
  4. A message will appear on the device display screen confirming the connection and a 16MB partition will be viewable in My Computer.
  5. Release the REC button.
STEP 3 – Download and update the firmware
  1. Download the firmware from the Sansa Forum.
  2. Open the zip file
  3. Extract all the firmware files to the 16MB-FORMAT drive.
  4. Disconnect the player.
  5. Slide the Hold switch to the unlock position.
  6. Turn on the player

Firmware error on creative zen


Check your LAN settings by going to Internet Options, select "connections" then LAN settings, then check the box that says "automatically detect settings". Click okay, and that should fix your problem. You have that have those options enabled to let some common programs detect your internet connectivity.
