Question about Computers & Internet
I forgot my computer password, And I can't remember it anymore, I don't want to install the system, what i can do to get my computer passsword?
You can remove or change the Windows User or
administrators password and privileges. You need access to a computer with
Internet access to download the Hirens Boot CD and burn it onto a CD.
Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop-computer with the Hirens CD and follow the instructions.
There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program.
Click on one of these links to download HIRENS BOOTCD :-

SOURCE: forgot system password
There is a free program called Ophcrack. Download it, burn it to a CD, put it in your CD drive and reboot (You'll have to go into the BIOS at startup and change the primary boot device to cd-rom). It will read the password for you. Make sure you burn it as an iso image and not just save it to a CD. If you don't know how to do that, read this link:
Hope this helps

SOURCE: I forgot CMOS passsword...
open carefully the back cover of your notebook and try to access the motherboard.
remove the battery from the motherboard and insert again to reset the bios to its default setting.
Return the cover and turn on.
If that did not work, try to remove the battery,, and then turn on. Return the battery later.
If you don't have the skill to do the opening, consult a certified technician to do that.
It is better to spend money for the technician to ensurethe safety of the unit than act with curiousity and damage your unit.

SOURCE: I have an acer travelmate
I ran into the same issue with a bios password The laptop is a newer Acer TravelMate and I was able to remove the password. Remove the hardrive first. Then remove the memory and unplug the black and red wires from the battery about 2 inches away wait a then plug it back in. With the harddrive out still I turned the computer back on and then back off, put the harddrive back in.
You will end up clearing the bios settings including the fingerprint readers settings.

If your system is prompting you for the Power-On Password there are a few things you can try.
First - remove the Battery and the Power Cord. Next remove the RTC battery. You can find instructions for how to remove the RTC battery from the user guide here: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00753552.pdf it is on Page 111. Leave all of the batteries and power off/unhooked from the computer. Next, press and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds while there are no batteries or power cables attached. Then allow the computer to sit for at least 5 minutes without the power sources. Finally - replace the RTC battery and then plug in the power cable. DO NOT PUT BACK IN THE MAIN BATTERY YET. Power the computer on and see if the password has been blanked out.
If the power reset fixes the password, then you can put back in the main battery and go about using the computer.
If the power reset does not fix the Power on Password - you will need to contact an HP authorized repair center to get it fixed. This is not a cheap option, but it may be the only way to remove the password. To get started with a repair with HP you can call: 866-234-1377.
I hope this information helps you out!
