i had the same problem with my dryer and i installed the wrong thermal fuse for gas dryer which calls for a pink thermal fuse in which i installed and it works fine also check the lint in the front of your dryer. also my dryer which is the same make as yours seems will run on the fluff cycle until i replaced the right thermal fuse. my dryer run exceptionally hot and eventally shut down and it only run on the fluff cycle for any length of time.

SOURCE: Dryer won't start, checked thermal fuses and start switch.

It sounds like you have been through most of the areas too look.

One thing to make sure of is that you have a full 240 volts. An electric dryer can measure 120 volts. from L1 to common and 120 volts from L2 to common but you also need to make sure you have 240 volts from L1 to L2 on the meter, one leg of the breaker or one of the two fuses could be blown.

If this is alright you only have a couple components left. The timer contacts and the drive motor. Either of these could be causing the issue.

To check the motor with the power disconnected check for continuity between switch terminal 5 and the Green(black) wire on the motor. If you have no continuity the motor is bad. Check for continuity between the terminal 6 and the yellow wire on the motor, if you have no continuity there the motor is bad. Check for continuity between terminal 1 and 2 on the motor if you you do not have continuity the motor is bad.

The timer should have continuity between the Yellow and Grey wire terminals for the motor to start.

I hope this helps

SOURCE: Dryer was working perfectly then

Either one of the two that you suggested is the good way to start with. For that you need to access the back panel. Inside the you will find the schematic. Follow the schematic from the power input, so you can find where it is cut off. Most of the time, it is the relay to turn on the machine. The moment you press the start button, if the dryer has all safety signal met as door switch, thermal fuse, then the relay will engage then hold on to that so power can be continuing on until any of safety requirement breaks off. If the relay is not engage, then you can see it is not operated.

SOURCE: Hello all, My MDE7500AYW Maytag Neptune

looking at schematics looks like you main control board is the faulty part. you have done a very good job of tracing the voltages from the source. been that all voltages are present and door switch is good the part left is the control board. here is the part# 33002886. you can find it at sears website or service center.

good luck to you.

How the thermal fuse work de 303 dryer

If the air going past the fan is too hot, and the cycling or oven thermostat does not turn off the heat, the thermal fuse activates. Repair is to replace it. I have only come across this where wrong parts are fitted or bypassed. - DON'T ever bypass the Thermal fuse as it is a last resort safety feature!!

Dryer wont start after installing w10410999

I had the same problem. Root cause was connecting the red wire to ground instead of pin 5.

Ground is between pins 1 and 5. Since it has no label, it is easy to miss the fact that pin 5 is not right next to 1, and connect red to ground instead.

I have a Hoover Zodiac12 2-speed reversible motor i want to use for a home project. Its a Nuova Ibmei with 5 terminals. The wires are L to R and top to bottom; 1. black stripe, 2. blue, 3. yellow, 4. red...

You will destroy the motor by running it with multiple speeds tied together. So be careful. Just try and get it to work with 2 wires and tape the others off away from each other and the frame so they won't short anything out. themobilian_795.jpg

Thr issue you are having you need to look on the motor and see if there is a diagram but you have to use the grey and white for a capacitor because i have an older fan that has no capacitor. and use the red for high
