Couple of issues with new Asko W6424 washer

I have a 4 month old Asko washer which replaced our 18 year old Asko washer. Two issues: First, when spinning, this machine is so loud it can be heard two floors away. Our old Asko was very quiet. Why is this machine so much noisier. Note, we have made sure the machine is level as instructed in the manual. Second problem, the soap dispenser seems to leak no matter how carefully I put in detergent and softener. It runs down inside the front panel to the bottom of the machine, along the front bottom edge and now I'm seeing rust stains there and also around the the door gasket. What do I do?

SOURCE: detergent dispenser

As far as I am aware, there IS NO dispenser for bleach, you have to put bleach in drum before adding clothes and starting cycle. The far right compartment is only for "pre-wash" cycles, and if no pre-wash is selected, water will run through ALL compartments at the rinse stage..... Oshie

SOURCE: Water goes thru fabric softener dispenser not soap dispenser!

Yes you will need a service call, you may have a issue with the water valve or control, At the start of the cycle it should not be filling the softener dispenser till later in the program.

SOURCE: Fabric softener not draining

Remove the dispenser drawer by pushing down on the tab at the center back and pulling drawer out. Now, remove the top of the fabric softener compartment and the parts of the soap dispenser and clean them all out. An old toothbrush often helps. Reassemble and replace. They should siphon out now.

SOURCE: Lg tromm front loading washing machine has

Yes the system is cloghed. Pull the detergent drawer out and clean the drawers housing. try using some bleach. It allways helps.

BE ADVICED: after using bleach run quick wash cycle on without any load, it's just to get rid of all bleech remains and not to damage your clothes

SOURCE: LG Washer leak, small tear in door seal

Follow these steps to replace your door seal:
Disconnect all power to the machine first!!

1 Locate the outer clamp band securing the seal to the door rim on the washing machine and examine it carefully for holes or tears. Many can be prised off with a flat-bladed screwdriver they have a spring system holding them, but some have a tensioning arrangement that has to be loosened.
2 After removing the outer clamp band, locate the inner one securing the seal to the drum and establish how this is secured. It may be necessary to loosen a clip, or you may be able to prise the band off with a flat-bladed screwdriver. Some are like very large Jubilee clips that you have to undo usually from the top.
3 Once the clamp bands have been removed, use both hands to pull the seal away from the inner drum rim. Some machines have a water spout holes that will have to be lined up. Others have a drain holes.
4 Rubbing a drop of washing up liquid into the groove on the door seal/gasket that locates on the drum makes fitting the new seal easier.
5 the new washing machine door seal should be fitted by locating the drain holes at the bottom of the seal first then push it on with both hands working opposite directions towards the top. This is quite hard if you have never done it before.
6 refit the inner band remembering this must be tensioned correctly for it to be water tight.
7 now fit the outer band and the test the machine for any leaks,

WELL IT IS POSSIBLE THE SECOND CONTROL BOARD WAS BAD ALSO? A 6 YEAR OLD WASHER IS YOUNG U CAN GET A GOOD 10-15 YEARS OUT OF A WELL KEPT WASHER.

ASKO Eighteen Eightyfive Dishwasher is showing an F2 error. The motor is running an I can't get it to stop.

Trip the breaker and go buy a new washer. They are only a couple of hundred bucks. They are way too expensive to repair the electronics. The old mechanical timers were so much less trouble back around 40-ish years ago when you could actually repair them.

There may be excess water in the water reservoir. Empty the washer Turn it off at the mains, and unplug it, then put some old towels on the floor, tip the washer forward until the excess water comes out, Reconnect and try again. Hope this helps it works for me and saves ££££'s in repair fees

Hello. Since your machine is 18 years old and the agitation/spin is costly to repair I would definitely recommend a replacement washer.

Service light is on my whirlpool washing machine and won't allow the wash to start, can I override this as it's only 18 months old?

The main motor in the whirlpool front loaders has brushes. These will wear out eventually. Does the drum try and turn when a load is started? If not the motor deserves a check. 18 months sounds short but possible. Mine took 4 years to wear down.

I need to know if a new Asko Dryer will stack with my old washer

The exterior size hasn't changed and the plug to run the washer is the same so I don't see a problem. A good retailer can check this for you , but I haven't seen any difference in the stacking kits.

ASKO 1605

Hi Guys
My dishwasher this morning has desided to not work correctly.
Its a ASKO 1302 about 20 years old. It has been a very good machine.
Over the last couple of weeks during the washing cycle, the dishwasher has been making a loader noise than usual.
1. Today, the dishwasher timer, travels all the way through its cycle, but very little washing take place.
2. Soap power is still there, plates not clean!!!!
3. Water is hot
4. At the end of the cycle, there is no water in the dishwasher.
5. I'm thinking the problem could be the pump needs replacing.
What do you think?

Whirlpool Cabrio Leaks Water

Good luck. Mine did the same and they sent their technicians out to fix the problem. A&E comes out and replaces the tub ring. They told me the washer is now made with the tub ring in place. When he opened the washer up I noticed I now have rust inside my washer. I have spent a month trying to get Whirlpool to replace my washer but they will only replace parts. A&E came out to replace the tub ring and now my door creaks and my washer does not go back together correctly. Hopefully you can justreturn the washer to where you got it. Read other reviews on line. It sounds like this washer is a lemon. Sorry!
