Re: new motherboard install

Hello cyborg the ps2 keyboard might not work for several reasons. the keyboard might not be plugged in the right ps2 port. the keyboard might be faulty, try another keyboard. the keyboard on controller could ba faulty due to surge by intermittent plugging in /out of the keyboad at so close intervals try reseting the cmos manually by using the jumper on the motherboard this will reset or clear the cmos settings to default

Swappped it with the mouse ? The keyboard doesn't work. Get another keyboard to check. Does everything else work? Unplug everything else, including the mouse and try that ( and let me know what you find please. )

When i turn on my monitor display an error that no keyboard attach... i use usb type and ps2 type...

This one isn't easy but it might be a compatibility issue with the keyboard although ps2 keyboard are suppose to work 95% of the time there is still the possibility that your keyboard is not recognized or is defective, as for the usb, most pc's don't recognize it until it has time to install the drivers within windows, hope this helps.

PS2 KEYBOARD & MOUSE Not responding.

Try connecting one at a time, if you connect the mouse don't connect the keyboard, and if you connect the keyboard, don't connect the mouse, reboot each time and check which one is the culprit. One of the port or device must be creating the problem. Good luck.

Bios does not find PS2 keyboard/mouse

Did you go into the BIOS and set it to recognize the USB Keyboard after you reset the BIOS? Is windows not noticing it or the BIOS. You stated that it recognized the USB keyboard and then said that it did not.
What does all of this mean? USB keyboard does not activate "del" setup.

If it does not work, it is because you reset the BIOS and did not change the settings back for the USB keyboard.

I hope that I fixed your problem.

Try clearing the bios/cmos using the jumper on the board, page 10 in you're manual. Than try booting. See if you're keyboard allows you to get into the bios/cmos. I'm guessing you tried another keyboard? You can also buy a PS2 - to -USB Y adapter. This is what one looks like.
If you bought an AGP graphics card lately you might have also received a single PS2 to USB adapter free. Like this one.
It's not uncommon for the the lights to function & yet the keyboard not function. A single pin within the PS2 on the keyboard could be bent or bad or not seating correctly in you're new board.
